the-coldplayer-companion and beneathmydurbansky tagged me for this shnazzy Bastille ask thingy! Thank you peeps! 1. When did you first hear Bastille’s music? OKAY SO HERE'S A LONG, UNECESSARY STORY: I first heard them on my friend's Pandora in class during the first semester of school. We had just started talking and found that we had a pretty similar taste in music so when Pompeii started playing, she asked me if I had heard it before and I said no. We listened to it for a while and I can remember thinking "This guy's voice is awful" so she changed the song and we both agreed that we hated it. A while later I actually tried listening to them but I just couldn't get into their music. Pompeii suddenly got ridiculously popular and my family and I would jam out in the car to it and it became my new favorite song and I had this weird obsession with it. I loved the song and I said I loved the band even though I never tried listening to their other music until I finally listened to their album the whole way through and I was in love! I asked the girl I mentioned before if she liked Bastille (this was a few months after we first heard them) and she was like "YES OMG DO YOU?" and of course I was like "YES OMG DAN SMITH IS PERFECT" and then I got her number and we talked for seven hours straight about music and Bastille and Dan until it was like 4 a.m. and that's how we became best friends. 2. What was the first Bastille song you heard? Eh eh oh eh oh 3. Favourite song from “Bad Blood”? Get Home 4. Favourite song exclusively from “All This Bad Blood”? Durban Skies (I mentally cry everytime I hear it) 5. Favourite cover? everything-is-bullshitt OH MY GOD! I just found out something really cool, did you know that Czech word for love (láska) in polish means blow job?! (it also means 'stick' but BLOW JOB?! HAHAHA I mean, if you pronounce it the same way we do then this is just hilarious!
