I wouldn't think someone would have to say this, but if you were truly for equality, you would recognize that discrimination can and DOES go in all directions. As opposed to labeling ourselves and acting like little social activists, we should transcend any form of discrimination. I see kids who rant about racism make racist comments all the time. I see "feminists" make inaccurate statements about men. Frankly I hear everyone give everyone shit, so before we spend our time ignorantly contributing to that negative energy while claiming we are "pushing equality", we should think about something. All humans came from one region of Southeast Africa (I'm so sorry if I'm wrong, I'm pretty swervish) and over the course of our existence, have reached the far corners of the earth. Now we sit around conflicting with eachother to a point where we lose sight and people in positions of authority make choices for us. I'm sorry, but is it so hard to shed any labels of social activism and just BE A FUCKING PERSON WHO WANTS TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE?! There are people from every fucking background, every religion (I'm nonreligious but), every sexual orientation, who face hardship in their lives. So why don't we help those fucking people wholeheartedly and without judgement, because at some points in your life, that's all you fucking need.
It's called the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.
