Yes, Jacobis different after breaking from R’s influence,both physically and mentally. I had that assumption that Jacob started tosuffer from some kind of sickness, the closer he was getting to the final Vault- like he’s having those sudden attacks of pain. Obviously, it’s ratherweakening, and it shows in his appearance. On the other hand, he followedRakepick’s advice that there are no limitations in duelling, so he started totrain also physically. He was always rather lanky (despite playing Quidditch for a while), so he finally gained somemuscles thanks to that. Nevertheless, all of the above together just makes him look like amuch older man drained by life, especially with his hair going slightly grey. He also usually has a beard or at least stubbleas he just can’t be bothered by shaving.

Mentallythough… Well, he’s also a mess. His guilt is even bigger, he often can’t sleepbecause of nightmares. He became more selfish and cynical, less trusting. However, he’s not a totally different person. There’s still old Jacob in him, andhe tries to bring him back, especially around people he cares about (since formost of them, it’s the only version they know).

Kind of,but also not quite? Technically, Helena doesn’t really have reasons to nottrust him, but she’s tired and annoyed by his mysterious answers that don’texplain anything. His Legilimency lesson didn’t make it look much better, to behonest. She’s also often confused by him since he’s giving her mixed signalsabout her Vaults’ search all the time (like rewarding her with house points, or saying“I trust your adventure was well worth it” with his gentle smile after theForest Vault). He’s no better than Rakepick, really. At least she doesn’tpretend she’s open with us.

24. If your MC could be friends with someoneelse’s MC, who would it be? What would their dynamic be like?

Sabrina Habren ( @sabrina-habren ). Helena was seeing thisHufflepuff girl all the time, and she was always kind and friendly, but theydidn’t really know each other. So one day Helena followed her to the MagicalCreatures Reserve, and that’s how they started spending time together: talkingand taking care of the creatures.

Helene Adler ( @heleneplays ). After the last amazing art I received, I got the idea that Helena would be kind of a mum friend to Helene – because she’sjust a little bean who needs protection. Also, they would often spend the evenings with the book about Rakepick (borrowed from Bill), gushing over how awesome Patriciais. And then Tulip would cut in with her: “Yeah, and she’s a bitch” so the girlswould start defending their mentor, making it a nightmare for the rest of theroommates.

Evie Jensen ( @nightingaletrash ). Helena started following Eviebecause she looked really cool, and then it turned out she has a cool dad. Helena likes to listen about how it is to have an Auror in the family. Evie alsosneaks her into the Gryffindor Common Room so they can hang out with the whole Gryffindor gang, having fun and goofing around.

Salatirwell Coreloius ( @jadeowl19 ). Salatirwell and Helena kneweach other since they’re in the same house, but Helena had too many episodes ofbeing loud and too excited for Salatirwell to be interested in friendship…Until she heard Helena’s grandparents have a bakery. She approached her one day, asking if that’s true and if Helena gets packages sometimes.

“I got you, girl,” Helena said, pulling the apple pie from under thetable.

She then tried to talk with Salatirwell about her emotions, but it wasn’treally working, so she started talking about herself instead – which Salatirwellsummarised with:

“This is a really good pie”.

Wilhelmina Fujita ( @wilhelminafujita ).They are a terrible duo. They’retalking all the time about things nobody understands or doesn’t even remember theyhappened. They will dissect your every word. Most of the time together, they’respending in Jacob’s room, looking through all the papers and notes. One time, when they were sitting in silence for a longer time, trying to decipherRakepick’s behaviour, Wilhelmina spoke suddenly:

“You know we’re friends only because of your analytical thinking skills,right?”

“Oh, that’s what you believe,” Helena replied with a smile, tossinganother chocolate frog at the girl.
