Whoa! Someone finally went and shot me a message thanks to the bio! Thank you! Now, onto business…

At the simplest level, I am in favor of prison abolition —principally as a moral stance both for humanistic reasons and due to my religious convictions.

The chief outcome of incarceration (in broad terms) is the degradation of the human person, and that’s not a practice that belongs in a good society. For both purposes implicit* in the idea of prison (sequestration and/or reformation of persons who have done harm to individuals or society) there must be better approaches that don’t have such a profound human cost or use as tool for the enforcement of white supremacy.

The alternative institution may not yet exist (certainly not at scale) but that doesn’t preempt the question or dismiss the profound violence and misery of the carceral system.

*to be clear not the intended or functional purposes, but what prison says it’s about to society at large.

hey everyone 🤲 I’ve been trying a bunch of different meds prescribed to me and I feel like I’m finally approaching something of a stable state and I can’t wait to get back to writing regularly 🥲 I have this idea for a multi chapter fic inspired by Hongjoong’s look this comeback and I really want to get it out of my head and put it into words already 👀
