Could you write a fanfic about Evie x Harriet I haven't seen anyone else write about it and it's my otp. Like Evie and Harriet became friends on the isle and have the biggest crush on each other but the other one doesn't know. Evie is in Auradon and is dealing with coming to terms with liking Harriet and tells Mal, Jay, and Carlos they get annoyed not because Evie is gay but because Harriet is a pirate but wind up being fine with it and then try and get them to be together..I want to read my otp
Is this ship name Eviet? Because that’s cute as hellll!
“I don’t get it, E. Jane flirts with you like every day,” Mal rests her chin in her hand. “Do you not want to date anyone? I mean, it’s whatever if you don’t.” She reassures gently. “But you seemed so lonely… What’s up?”
Evie wrings her silk skirt in her hands, bunching and unbunching the material as a distraction. “I am…lonely. Kind of. I love you guys, so much,” she looks at Mal and Jay and Carlos, all surrounding her on the floor of her room. “I don’t ever want it to seem like I don’t appreciate you guys. You’re my family. But…I…there was someone on the Isle,” Evie admits in one hurried breath. “And I…miss her.”
“On the Isle?” Carlos furrows his brow. “Like…your mother?”
“No,” Evie scrunches up her nose. “I mean, some days I miss my mother, but…I had someone kind of special on the Isle.”
“Dizzy?” Jay asks and scratches Dude’s head. “We brought her over last month.”
“No.” Why is this so hard? “She wasn’t…we weren’t…dating or anything,” Evie turns pink, “but I liked her and I think she liked me. Maybe. We hung out in secret a lot, but we never…kissed or anything.” Evil, this is like talking to her brothers and sister, Evie is so not going there!
“Why did you hang out in secret?” Carlos lifts Dude to sit in his lap. “No one on the Isle would have cared if you liked girls.” He pauses. “Well, maybe your mother. Is that why?”
Evie shakes her head. “No, um…I…” She takes a deep breath and clenches her eyes shut. “I didn’t think you guys would like her. Or you guys would be okay with me hanging out with her.”
“That’s batshit!” Mal exclaims just as the boys begin to protest. “E, we don’t care if you like girls, you can like as many girls as you want and have a lesbian sex clu-.”
“Mal, stop!” Evie flushes pink. “I know you guys don’t care if I’m a lesbian but…the girl I like is a pirate.” She flinches before they can even react. “It’s Harriet.”
There is silence and Evie is far too nervous to look up from the oh so interesting pattern design on the carpet.
“A pirate, Evie?” Jay asks in astonishment. “Why would you ever…?”
“What if she’s using you?” Carlos jumps in. “What if Harriet knew you were going to Auradon and she manipulated you to get something out of it?”
“I can’t believe you hung out with her alone,” Mal snaps and stands. “What if she knifed you, how would we know? How would anyone? Harriet could have strangled you and-.”
“I can take care of myself!” Evie bites, looking up at Mal with anger. “I’m not a weak, little princess. I know how to fight and I don’t need you to defend me.”
Mal’s eyes widen at the tone and she relaxes. “Of course you can, E. I know that.”
Evie nods and forces the venom of her tone to fade, but keeps the hardened look in her eyes when she looks at Carlos. “I’m not an airhead, I know when I’m being used. I saw it with Chad even though…I pretended not to.” Evie fights down the shame at how she had been so desperate for a prince, for her mother’s approval. “And a pirate doesn’t automatically mean bad,” she says to Jay, “just like being a villain kid doesn’t automatically mean we’re villains too.”
The boys share a look and then turn back to her, sorrowful expressions on their faces.
“Have you guys ever said more than 10 words to Harriet?” Evie asks genuinely, no longer defensive. “She’s witty and fun and she never saw me as just a ditzy princess. She’s…a good person. Just like us and Dizzy, but she’s in a bad environment.”
“Well…” Carlos shrugs nonchalantly, “let’s get her out of that bad environment.”
Evie raises a brow. “What?”
“I trust your judgement, E. We all do,” Carlos looks to Mal and Jay, who both nod. “If you think she’s a good person, we can give her a shot.”
“Yeah, and get her off Uma’s crew and into ours,” Mal says with a devious grin.
Jay grins and waggles his eyebrows. “And get you some sweet, pretty pirate s-.”
His last word is muffled by Carlos’ hand and Evie is ever grateful for it.
“Listen, we’ll talk to Ben and ask that Harriet is on the next group of kids to come over, okay?” Mal asks and sits back down next to Evie. “If you like her, she’s gotta be halfway okay.”
Evie smiles and blinks back the tears in her eyes. “Thanks guys, that means so much. You’ll love her. I know you will.”
