Although Dean has lost his humanity, his morality, and his love for burgers with extra onions, he hasn't lost his love and devotion to Sam. This fic is dark. I mean, Dean is one sick puppy. Dean is absolutely obsessed with Sam in the most unhealthy, frightening ways possible. He'll tear humanity asunder to get Sam's attention. It's deliciously written. Sam's anxiety, guilt, and terror jumps out of the prose. You feel like you're running with Sam. Dean's headspace is so evil yet so understandable. Even though you know what he's doing is horrendous, he makes you believe he's justifiable in his actions. Highly recommend checking it out!
