sometimes i think about what would have happened if sherlock didn't survive what happened in the tunnels. like, cordelia would have snapped and gone all the way into madness, mycroft probably would have thrown himself into his work and shut everyone out, silas might never even know, nor beatrice.

but james? he would have gone after xiao wei, and then silas, and then every single other person in the tunnels. and then probably even more people after that. like he would hunt down peregrine and esad and anyone else who'd ever hurt or wronged sherlock to try and get even. that boy would have burned the fucking world down. and everybody probably knows it too. except, of course, sherlock.
