“But museums are boooring!” Lloyd whined as the four of them approached the old museum.
Jay yawned in response, “Yeah, why do we have to be here so early?”
Zane huffed as he dragged the three of them, “Well the museum’s newest exhibit should be very popular. I wanted to make sure we didn’t have to deal with a crowd.
“But, why can’t we come in at a normal time? Like after lunch.” Cole added, as they walked through the double doors. The museum’s lobby was open, but empty. Well it seemed like it, till a noise in the corner drew their attention to the front desk. They saw a teen playing with an old handheld game, he didn’t seem to notice them as they approached.
“Boo!” Lloyd shrieked, causing the boy to yell in shock and fall off his chair.
Zane glared at Lloyd, “Lloyd, that wasn’t very nice. Apologise.”
The teen picked himself off the floor, “It's fine, it's fine. It's my fault anyways. Not supposed to be playing on this anyway.” He brushed off his polo, and looked at the party. “So why are you here so early? Doing something for a college paper or something?”
“I called yesterday about the journal entries? The ones supposedly written by the last master of ice?” Zane asked, reading the teens name tag, Kai.
“Ah, ok. Yeah, Nya mentioned something about that. So you must be Zane?” He said, holding out his hand, Zane took it graciously, “Follow me, we pulled out the documents a few minutes ago” as he started down the east wing. The rest of the party followed suit.
No one knew who they really were so they didn’t have to worry about being swarmed, or questioned further on why they were there. They were well liked in Ninjago, but usually when a ninja was somewhere it was because of trouble. So they thankfully could be normal kids every once and awhile. Even if it meant doing boring research in a dusty old museum.
“Booring!” Lloyd chimed again as they were led to the back, where there were shelves and boxes neatly sorted, nothing bright and exciting like the exhibits. Just beige and dusty boxes.
“Here we go,” Kai showed the little room they had for manuscript study.
Still evil sibs, i have so many tbh. But the next one i'll post will be a different au

Missing
“What’s going on,?” Lloyd asked, he was bugging the others slowly getting more and more impatient. Zane said he’d be gone for an hour or two, something about checking out a painting. The computer beeped loudly about an hour ago, and Jay and Cole weren’t telling him anything, acting strangely distant. Zane must’ve sent them something, but they weren’t telling him what.
“Where’s Zane? What did he send you!” Lloyd shouted at them, he was worried and sick and tired of them always hiding things from them. Cole snapped his attention from the monitor to the little green boy.
He sighed as he glanced again at the screen, “We don’t know, bub.”
“What do you mean? He said he was going to the museum or something?”
“Yes, but his emergency signal went off. Which means he suddenly lost consciousness. We're trying to find his signal right now.” Cole said, leading Lloyd out of the room, “C’mon help me get Rocky and Wisp ready, once we find his signal we’re moving.”
“Can I come?” Lloyd asked as they got to their stables with the dragons, getting their saddles and bridles out and onto the dragons.
“Definitely not, we don’t know who or where they took Zane. We’ve got to stay focused, and It’ll be safer if you stay here with Wu.” Cole said securing the saddle to Rocky

Hello This Is My Dragon
Jay couldn't believe they were taking him back with them, to their home. The enemy, sleeping under their roof. They took Kai home with them, like he was a little lost puppy. Which is what he looked like, now that his sister left him, his parents left him, they kept him away from Krux and Acronix. He was alone, in the lion's den. And Jay wasn’t going to let him forget it.
Jay didn’t believe Kai’s change of heart, “try to change destiny” bull he said. The second he could he would bolt, with information on them. The others thought he was paranoid, but they didn’t see those two like he has, getting his limp from Kai, and a bruised heart from Nya. He knew that they were ruthless and they had an agenda.
When they first arrived at their little home, they gave him a little tour
“And here are our stables, you shouldn’t come here without any of us,” Zane explained as they showed Kai where he shouldn’t go unless he wanted to get kicked out or dead. They were at the now empty stables, their dragons were probably off hunting, or they were playing. None of them were worried, they always came back, and they could call them if they were needed. But Jay could see Kai’s hesitance in approaching the stalls, giving Jay a great idea.
Jay remembers when Nya was over and how Wisp was off around her, he should have listened to him. Always trust a dragon's intuition, so showing Kai to Wisp would show the others that Kai was no good. Wisp loved everyone, if he didn’t like Kai, then he was bad news.

“Here we are, how about you go and grab Wisp’s lead from over there”, Jay said pointing at the lead that was very close to the opening in Wisp’s pen. The dragon mentioned was wiggling excitedly at the mention of his lead.
“Why can’t you get it?” He spat back, very much not moving from his spot. Jay could see him wearily glance at the dragon.
Another wip, this time lets see what the ninja are up to.
[790 words]
Ever since Garmadon found out that his son was the green ninja, he stopped being overly aggressive with his skeleton raids. But that didn’t mean they stopped.
All week they have been dismantling skeleton raids, they’ve been happening all over Ninjago. And the three of them are exhausted. Jay and Cole thought that Garamadon was just trying to distract them. But Zane thought differently.
“All it does is unify Ninjago against Garmadon, no one likes him so no one would come forward!” Cole gruffed.
“But if they thought it would grant them safety, of course they’d report to Garmadon, even if they don’t know who they are.” Zane countered.
“Yeah, but no one has seen them, no one knows where they are. The chance that even one of these to be right is so low. I think Garmadon is just trying to distract us from training Lloyd and that's it.”
“Yes the chance is low, but-”
Jay sighed as he tuned out of the dispute, shifting his attention to Lloyd. Who was trying to do a handstand again. “Nice handstand squirt,” Jay said as the kid flopped onto his back with an ‘oof’.
“Are you going to teach me something now, or should I just go grab a snack?” Lloyd grumbled from the floor. They’ve had no time to teach the kid, being pulled left and right by all of Ninjago.
“Yeah, let’s do some lightning stuff.” Jay yawned, he was too tired and sore to even think about sparring. “So have you been practicing?” He questioned as Lloyd went through the motions of summoning lightning.
“Heh, that’s all I seem to do, practice.” Lloyd scoffed as he easily started lighting up the room with the mini light show from his hands. Distracting Cole and Zane from their argument,
“You’ve improved much Lloyd.” Zane complimented, as he and Cole moved to them. Lloyd beamed at the praise and started showing off, changing the color of the lightning from bright blue, to a vibrant green.
“Excellent, but how about you try something colder?” Zane said
Lloyd gave a smirk as he brought the temperature of the room down as frost covered the boys hands, starting to glow a soft white. His face was scrunched in concentration as he held his hands out trying to freeze the dummy in front of him, a small ray of frost shot from his hands, but it was too short to freeze the dummy from across the room.
“Argh! Why can’t I do it!” Lloyd pouted as he dropped his hands, the room immediately growing warmer again.
“It’s alright buddy, you just need more time, you’re not going to get it immediately.” Cole comforted the now green lump on the floor. “How about we spar for a bit?”
That got him to perk up, “Hehe, prepare to lose dirt boy!” He yelled as he and Cole ran to the open training grounds, where the two started throwing punches and kicks at each other.
Zane chuckled at the two as he sat down next to Jay. “Well at least we’re doing something right.” Zane sighed as they watched the two start throwing rocks at each other.
“Yep, let's just hope that Garmadon doesn’t try anything tomorrow, I’d like for the kid to have a normal day. Though a museum seems kinda boring Zane.” Jay critiqued the nindroid. The three agreed that Lloyd needed time to be a kid, so they tried taking him to different places once a week. It was Zane’s turn and he decided that the Museum of History would be great for some reason.
“Boring! They just opened a new exhibit, all about samurais. Lloyd loves samurais!” Zane defended.
“Ok, ok. Sorry, didn’t know,” Jay grumbled, Zane always got defensive about his weeks. Especially after the first one flopped. Sometimes they forgot that Zane wasn’t ever a kid, so at times they had some. . .odd adventures, but most of them turned out to be rather fun.
“Welp, I’m going to take a nap.” Jay said as he got up.
“The master of lighting, tired? ” Zane jokes, Jay usually was awake at the weirdest hours of day and night, meaning he was usually a first responder to most raids. Zane said he was cathemeral and he should try and sleep more, Jay didn’t care, he slept when he was tired, and right now he was exhausted.
Jay turned, “Yeah, yeah. Lighting guy drained his batteries, haha, I'm laughing.” He mumbled as he retreated to their shared room.
“If you’re not up by dinner we’ll send Lloyd in!” Cole shouted after him.
“Wait really? Score!” Jay heard the kid bellow, he chuckled as he passed out. He’d only be out for an hour max.
More WIPs from Evil Siblings AU!!! This one is actually finished, but I never posted it.
After Mr. Krux took them to live with him, Kai didn’t speak for months. He was nice, but he wasn’t mom or dad. He missed his parents.
Kai would only talk to Nya, who would speak for him to Mr. Krux. She understood that he felt uncomfortable talking to him. And the pressure of speaking wasn’t there when Nya did it for him. So for the first few months, he would talk to her and she would talk to Mr. Krux. It worked for him, but Mr. Krux always seemed frustrated at Kai when Nya talked for him.

“Would you like red or green, Kai?” Mr. Krux asked one day, holding out the two apples to Kai.
“Kai likes red, Mr. Krux,” Nya piped in, as usual.
“Well I’m asking Kai, Nya. So I want Kai to answer.” He turned back to Kai, “Would you like red or green?”
Mr. Krux knew what apples he didn’t like. Kai hated the green apples, they were bitter and gross. So Kai didn’t answer as he felt that pressure in his chest that made him feel sick, so he just continued drawing.
A few seconds went by, “Ok then, I’m just going to assume which one you want.”
Kai saw that he left him the green apple. “And remember, you must eat your snack to play outside.” He reminded the two as he went into the other room.
Kai looked as Nya ate her apple, and looked back at his, he hated green apples. He could just throw it away and pretend to eat it, but Mr. Krux would probably find out, then he would be mad. He was very nice when they did what he asked, but if they didn’t, he would shut them both in separate rooms for the rest of the day. Nya hated being alone, and so did he.
But he didn’t eat his apple, so while Nya went outside and played, he stayed inside. Mr. Krux came out and gave him extra work to do, “Since he was stuck inside,” he said.
And this happened everyday now, Mr. Krux would ask him what apple he wanted. He wouldn’t say anything, so he would give him the green apple. And Kai could either eat the gross apple and play outside, or he could stay inside and do extra work. Sometimes Kai couldn’t eat the whole apple, and he was stuck with the sour, bitter taste in his mouth as he did his work. He couldn’t stand the taste, he wanted to spit it out, but he didn’t want to do the extra work.
- - -
“Kai, would you like a red apple or a green apple?” Mr. Krux said, waiting for Kai. This question had been asked for almost two weeks now, and Kai was at his breaking point.
Kai didn’t looked at him as he felt the uncomfortable pressure in his chest from Mr. Krux’s gaze. He didn’t want the green apple, he didn’t want to do extra work, he didn’t want Mr. Krux’s disappointed look for the rest of the day.
“. . .red. . .” He whispered back, the first time he spoke to Mr. Krux. He didn’t feel the pressure ebb as he kept staring at Kai, seemingly expecting more. “. . . red. . . please?” He tried again.
And he looked so happy at that response. Putting the red apple in front of him, and ruffling his hair affectionately. “Good boy. It's nice to hear your voice.”
Kai smiled at the affection as well as the red apple in front of him, but the pressure in his chest didn’t let him eat the apple that day.
