my “awakening” was the first time I came in contact with the word “therian”, even though I didn’t find out about the differences between otherkin and therian until I came on tumblr years later but ye anyway. it was... 5th grade I think? and I was reading a book in the library about therians and I was like !!!!! sounds like meee!!! so yeah it was pretty great even though I kept it to myself cuz I knew I’d be made fun of for it

mmm... besides that I am not actually them? I guess I’m just nervous that people aren’t gunna like me/take me seriously for my fictionkin types...

depends on each one! usually it’s just being surrounded by the type of environment my kintype would be in. also, mention of my kintypes in general is like “YEAH THATS ME”
