*Birdie approaches the now-crumbled statue, brow furrowing when he sees it broken. Hes dressed in his bloodied and torn knight’s uniform, his hair left wavy by the braids that were in it for a while. He doesn’t have his usual hat, having given it to Sky, and he’d purposely left his hairclip behind on top of his newer outfit, back at Red’s house.
*The Goddess Sword is in one hand, held by the strap and not the handle, sheathed. He’s not letting it touch the ground, but he’s not touching the blade itself. Fi chimes softly from inside.
*Regardless of the state of the statue, he sets the sword on the ground and pulls out a note he’d written using notes he’d gotten from Purah on at least some kind of language from this time. He unfolds it and sets it on the ground, using a small rock to hold it there. He doesn’t know if a statue will be able to read. He doesn’t know if this statue is still an option for him.

[There is a suspiciously blob shaped shadow behind where the statue used to be, on the dirt wall. At first, it remains unmoving, but when you step closer, smoke emerges from the blob, and a ray of divine light shines upon it’s upper part, taking the form of an eye accompanied with a twisted version of the sound that appears when you pray to the Goddess, and the sound makes your ears ring for a moment.]
…Ah…You, who have been spoken of oh so many times…
I am nothing but glad of your arrival.
[The smoke spreads out, going as far as to the note, and it takes the shape of a tendril- and then pulls the note down into the solid ground, including the rock.]
[Another divine light shines upon the statue, now taking another form of an eye on the opposite side of the other eye, and just a tad lower.]
…Has no one taught you to write?
