The dark haired elleth had been cast out by her people - too wild, too headstrong, unwilling to bend to the orders of the King. Along, cloaked in grey, the archer wandered the wilds, only her great bow for company.

She was camping beneath an ancient oak when she heard someone approach and Beleg lifted th sharp stick warily.

All he could taste was the earth, bitter and heavy and thick, pressing down on him, as though it was alive, trying to work its way down his throat, suffocating. Beleg hadn’t had the strength to call out, to claw his way out, to even cry. He remembered pain and darkness and then - nothing.

Was this Mandos? He was not in the ground any more, but he still could not move. What was this? Had he been ensnared in Morgoth’s traps?

He opened his mouth to speak but his throat was so dry that no sound came apart from awkward croaking. Someone was there; he could hear the rustle of fabric, the soft crackle of a fire.
