The list of not-canon characters is not long, but Katie Lowery is by far the least canon out of that list.

Day 1.
katie from evo tournament manga
Heyy, do you know where I can find Bakugan manga?
Because it was a card game first, anime second for promotion; Bakugan doesn't have a manga, per say, but there is a non-canon manga called The Evo Tournament.
In reviews by others who have read it, the characters can be/are out of character (seems to be mostly present in Shun, because), there is a character specific to Evo that is described as a Mary Sue (notably this appears to be because her only contact the brawlers have happens to be Shun; they're friends if I recall), and there is a mechanical bakugan a whole season before they are canonically introduced (bonus to being human made and not Vestal made.)
Archive.org has a version of it (its readable if you have an account and log in, otherwise you'll only be able to read Dan's monologue about how the bakugan appeared, and the back, which features signature character Katie.)
Thinking about joining the evo tournament for some dough my mains
Somebody lost their camera at Evo 2012. Luckily, somebody found it. :)
