Goodnight, sweet prince.
The song was played before the 2010 Super Street Fighter 4 EVO finals. The song is done by an artist named Redrapper who did the other freestyles that were played before the finals of Street Fighter 2 HD Remix, Tekken 6, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and Melty Blood.
This one stood out the most for me mostly because SSF4 is the game I play the most that was played at EVO, and the fact that he seemed to put the most emotion into this song. The SSF4 finals was the definitely the most hyped event of the EVO as most anticipated. This song definitely set the hype for the matches to come and can be an anthem of sorts to SSF4 players everywhere. Much praise to him as well for making a song about a video game and making it enjoyable to listen to as well as the fact that he used Cody's theme in the background. As a gamer, there aren't many songs that speak to you like this one did.
Redrapper has done some other good songs I'll try to talk about later. What stands out about him as an artist is that he's an enlightened rapper, something you don't find much of these days unless you look underground.
