The Mother of the Nation Festival was held over the 10-day period of 24th of March – 2nd of April 2016 with the object of celebrating and commemorating the values and achievements of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak through creating an engaging, family-oriented event for all ages. Themes included healthy living, environmental awareness, creativity & emerging artists, charitable giving, and national pride.
Evolution operated as the overall production company and was responsible for project management of the Festival, as well as designing and producing three of the festival's six unique zones that stretched along 1.3 kilometres of the Corniche in Abu Dhabi; namely The Souq, Beach Dining and the Art Zone. Evolution worked collaboratively with a selection of the regions leading event agencies to produce the remaining zones of the Festival, resulting in the successful execution of one of the largest arts and cultural festivals to ever to take place in the UAE. HQ Creative designed and produced the Activity & Conservation Zones, Mamemo designed and produced the Pavilion exhibition, The Fridge provided a range of entertainment throughout the Festival zones and Flash managed the overall site operations and logistics. With a remarkably short lead up time for pre-production, the overwhelming success of the festival is thanks to the incredible team effort of all the various organisers, suppliers, volunteers, and staff involved.
