It is commonly believed that some Pokemon require friendship to evolve. While it is true that affection and quality of care can impact a Pokémon’s evolution, most Pokemon evolve through aging. Eevee evolves into Umbreon or Espeon regardless of friendship, though it is believed that affection does help it evolve into Sylveon. Pichu will evolve into Pikachu regardless if it ever makes a friend in life. The same can be said about Azurill, Riolu, and more.
