#MiniatureMonday
A Study of Dinosaurs on the Comparative Method or Comparative Dinosaurs for Students, Amateurs, Fanciers and Breeders
This being a rather dreary Monday in the middle of November, an item of a cheery, satirical and humorous nature seemed called for.
With that in mind, may I present to you A Study of Dinosaurs on the Comparative Method or Comparative Dinosaurs for Students, Amateurs, Fanciers and Breeders.
The question may then be posed “So why are there pictures of beetles and not pictures of dinosaurs?”
The publisher helpfully explains that they graciously commissioned a work on Black Beetles, payed in advance, but received a book on dinosaurs several years later. The author offered that this was another amazing example of evolution, and as the publisher had already received the illustrations for the originally requested book, so what's a publisher to do? Thankfully, they decided to give us this.
The book is bound in blue leather, with a matching cloth covered clam shell box and case for the loose prints, which are the same as the illustrations in the book.

Keep an eye out for this weeks #voicesfromthestacks for another humorous item to combat dreary November!
