I just watched 12 years a slave and wow, I am really blown away.

I get so furious thinking about all the injustice in the world today, and while I will still feel that way for years to come I'm sure, I am so thankful for the progress that has been made. I can't imagine living in a world where people are property because of the color of their skin. And of course, I'm not naive enough to overlook the fact that there are still so many who are suffering because they are still slaves or impoverished or gay or a woman but god dammit, I am thankful every day for the growing tolerance and number of people who care and are willing for fight for justice.
