@evolvingoperator asked: Are you happy in your own skin? If you could change something about yourself, would you, and what would it be?
The arachnid glances at the stranger with a furrowed brow. "Am I happy in my--?" Then, as if realising the significance of the question, their inquiry peters out into a mirthless laugh as they toss their head back. "Am I happy in my own skin? Oh, please. Everyone seems to think that I'm soooo self-conscious and insecure. Why?" They raise their voice mockingly. "Because I'm just a disgusting littol spider who dweams of being a real Cybertronian one day."
They rest a hand on a cocked hip, and with the other, they gesture to themself. "I've got news for you, kid. Where I come from, I'm gorgeous. Male and female web-weavers were tripping over themselves to get to me. Hell, even Cybertronians were eager to knock down my door and pin me down so they could get a good looong look at the 'exotic' techno-organic.
No. I wouldn't change anything about myself."
They bite down on their bottom lip to stop it from trembling. "If a xenophobic comment or two bothers me, it isn't because they make me feel unattractive. It's because they make me feel insignificant. They try to make me out to be mad, or a scientist not good enough for their little toys. But I've done things they can only dream of. And I'm an organic. Imagine that."
