Oh, the things you will do...
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the [one] who’ll decide where to go”.

Uppsala Youth Impact Day 2018
The forum at Drivhuset had started from encouraging workshop about social enterpreneurship with Oscar Ohlström from SE Forum and Global Välfärd!
There we could know the strategy how to start with idea and then to implement it in more sustainable way thinking about social impact too.
One of the most interesting participants for me at Youth Impact Forum is Leafymade. Leafymade make disposable plates made from leaves to use for lunch and fika (You can buy it in ICA).
“At Leafymade we make an effort to keep our planet's sanity in place. We strive to replace the extensive use of plastic and paper in disposables with products made of natural material. Leafymade products are biodegradable, plastic and chemical free. Like our plates made of leaf and only leaf, that goes back to nature and leaves nothing behind. Besides this, we value social entrepreneurship and we try to make a positive impact on the lives of indigenous tribal women in India involved in the productions of our products. "
Life & Peace Institute made the workshop"Creating change: a deep-dive into policy and advocacy".
This workshop explored the realm of policy and advocacy work. Life & Peace Institute together with other actors presented inspiring ways of conducting policy and advocacy work directed towards both national and international actors, with a specific emphasis on peacebuilding advocacy.
It was really interesting and full of new knowledge day!
Thank you Uppsala Youth Impact !

Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation
This foundaition based in Ukraine and have different programms.
The main goal is to promote the democratic transformation of Ukraine by creating a critical mass of patriotic pro-active young Ukrainian professionals, responsible for their own future and for the future of their country.
I met the delegation of young people from different cities in Ukraine who needed to know more about working of NGO and social sector in Sweden. They travelled in Sweden and gained their knowledge and experience thanks to the special program “Young Generation Will Change Ukraine”.
A program for young patriotic Ukrainians, who play an active part in the public life of the country, willing to be the driving force of fundamental changes in Ukraine with regard to the European experience. The participants and alumni of the ‘Young Generation Will Change Ukraine’ program established the association which consists of more than 500 young people who work in Verkhovna Rada, ministries, city councils and administrations, manage grand-scale social projects or develop their own businesses.
I tend to think that all these initiatives help young people to broaden their horizones and to be more succesful in their working or studying field. They can implement their new knowledge in their countries and make a positive influence there.

Hästekasen Farm (90 km north of Gothenburg - Sweden west coast)
It`s so interesting to meet new people😍 Yesterday, I had a great meeting with Russian EVS volunteer Lena Leonteva. She participated in short-term volunteering project in eco-farm not so far from Gothenburg. For me it`s always interesting to know more about different volunteering experience in Sweden especially at such unusual places like eco-village or eco-farm.
Hästekasen Farm is located in really beautiful place in the forest near the sea (you can check their website to see some photos). Lena told me that the place is so amazing with it`s nature that all volunteers want to stay more and would like to return to this place again and again.
10 hectar woods, farmland, fields dedicated to nature and adventure activities, freediving, yoga, food and eco-farming. Hens, bees, cat, sheep, dog. Selfsustainability, permaculture, organic, ecological. We welcome woofers and couchsurfers and do Erasmus+ projects.
During the project they could try various activities and got exciting experience how to live in the community. Also, they could be as an actors in historical performance (during 2-3 days) and understand better life in ancient time.
Hästekasen Farm Association is right now designing and applying for several EU-Erasmus projects that could fund activities related to garden-farming, simple resilient lifestyle, building with natural material and leadership development and community building. You can check the Facebook group and apply for this project.
