i have. so much for this au it would be hard to explain in a single post :,) i’ve been working on it for almost four years now but here’s a funny little series of bullet points i’ve made about major parts of the whole thing before! (and this is just regarding the ed and ling side)

ed and ling are literal human incarnations of the Sun And The Moon, Like In Space,

they are part of a reincarnation cycle where the past sun and moon incarnations add to the fifth element of mind, body, soul, and spirit known as “life” aka “aether” (with soul and aether combining to make a philosophers stone, so they essentially have ginormous philosophers stones that they are just Made of)

soulmates because of course they are they are the sun and moon

time loopers because of another homunculus that makes the entire world a transmutation array who brings about the “end” where truth rebuilds the world over and over, so the timeloop is actually the entire universe being redone over and over,

truth has another half called chaos and chaos lives among humanity as part of their emotions, chaos also is the only reason humans still have their gates which serves as their connection to divinity

truth and chaos were once the rebis who was once the child of the First sun and moon human incarnations to have ever been born

ed is living an actual nightmare because the sun’s main aspects are both life and time, meaning he has full timelooper memories and can see the future and the past

ling is living a never ending cycle of grief because the sun is destined to die first no matter what, and he goes insane on certain loops because of the lunar cycle of the world rebirths (new moon cycles = moon incarnation may end up being the reason the sun dies that time rather than protecting him)

beyond tragic but they end up “winning” by becoming gods in the end and splitting their world into two halves, one with no alchemy at all and one with alchemy, but without the reincarnation cycle ever having existed (so no sun and moon incarnations)

aka this au is me being excessively self indulgent in my ship and completely altering the fma storyline to add an “afterstory” of sorts that links back into Everything

pretty much all “main universe” art i draw is set in the genesis au, so i hope that at least provides some extra stuff to see!!

i love being so overwhemingly autistic abt fma for the sake of fic research that i end up figuring out that brotherhood uses the wrong pronunciations (hi i added this talk page to the wiki :3) for the xingese words for "golden being" and "true being." apparently the anime team saw those characters and used japanese pronunciations (shin-hito and kin-hito) instead of chinese ones (zhén rén and jīn rén) !

anyways i will be having ling call edward "jīn rén" at some point in a fic somewhere because he is ling's golden being :3
