Well, it's been 2 months now soaking in the weirdness that is the new Dirty Projectors' self-titled album, and I still can't stop listening. This one will no doubt be on my year end list. A very strange and wildly creative album that musically, reminds me most of Sufjan Stevens' 'Age of Adz' masterpiece. Dirty Projectors may be the best album I can remember that reflects upon a broken relationship, lamenting the problems, but at the same time appreciating the love that was had. It's certainly a meandering of thoughts based around Dave Longstreth's and bandmate Amber Coffman's failed relationship.
