More remembrance of art experiences from the past. These images are from Ewa Partum’s work at the Sydney Biennale in 2012. (and 2 of the paper letters collected from the ground and framed) The theme of the biennale was: “All our Relations”. It was the 18th Sydney Biennale and this artwork was entitled “Installation Metapoetry ‘A la recherche du temps perdu’ according to Marcel Proust”. The interactive Metapoetry of Polish artist Ewa Partum is based on an earlier work; Marcel Proust’s A la recherche du temps perdu (In Search of Lost Time; earlier translated as Remembrance of Things Past). As Partum selects letters from the book’s pages and enlarges them so as to scatter them around the Prison Courtyard of Cockatoo Island, she encourages passers-by to collect the random letters and to form new words and phrases in an act of ‘linguistic liberation’, giving new meaning and context to the literary work in the present. * * * * * * * #ewapartum #metapoetry #sydneybiennale2012 #supergorgeousness #instagay #helleaux #learningtosee #artnerd #inspirationiseverywhere #instagrammer #videoart #appropriation #artfag #arthag #StayAtHomeModel (at Cockatoo Island, Sydney Harbour) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFnvHUZjqJZ/?igshid=1eevn4vgcilh5
