Proud to say that the first draft from Act 1 of my play “Katherine Howard” is officially finished
That’s all I can say about the play for now, Jesus, I’m not even sure how many acts there will be (either four or five. Depends on how the scenes turn out, my outline works for both and none at the same time)
The title will stay like this though. In my opinion it’s a play that perfectly works with the main character’s name as the title. It’d be useless to look for another one.
Also one more information: Screw history. Yes, I did my research but in the end everything’s heavily edited to fit into the plot. To name one example the duchess of Norfolk, Agnes Howard, will be much more of a driving force than she ever was in history, as well as I gave Henry Mannox a way bigger role than he played in history. I don’t want to educate I want a nice play so I feel free to change as much as I need.
Obviously there’s still much work to do, Katherine hasn’t even met Henry VIII yet, but one act/four scenes in about eight days is a huge progress for me and I could not be happier
