exalted vs debilitated
This was one of the first astrology concepts i started to understand because of my mom. exalted and debilitated placements are maybe more talked about not in western astrology because whenever i talk to anyone about it they always don't already know about it. so exalted means "(of a person or their rank or status) placed at a high or powerful level; held in high regard," or "in a state of extreme happiness." I would say this placement is just where the planet feels more comfortable in. when you know these placements concepts really start to connect. once i completely understood this i feel like my brain was able to connect all the different ideas together. Houses, planets, degrees, signs, etc. Debilitated on the other hand is were the planet feels the most uncomfortable. Debilitated meaning, "in a very weakened and infirm state." I wouldn't say if you have a debilitated placement that it's automatically bad in the same way I wouldn't say that an exalted placement doesn't mean automatically good. I would think of them more as strengths and weaknesses. I also just happen to obsess over these because I have 4 planets exalted LOL. But that's that so here they are: (it's also really interesting because you can kind of think of those planets as opposites)
Exalted/Debilitated:
Sun- Aries/Libra
Saturn- Libra/Aries
Moon- Taurus/Scorpio
**Pluto- Scorpio/Taurus
**Uranus- Scorpio/Taurus
! Rahu- Gemini/Sagittarius
! Dhanu- Sagittarius/Gemini
Jupiter- Cancer/Capricorn
Mars- Capricorn/Cancer
**Neptune- Leo/Aquarius
Mercury- Virgo/Pisces
Venus- Pisces/Virgo
The placements with ** next to them are kind of controversial. Some people think there are no exalted&debilitated and some people think it's other signs. These are just the ones I think!! and then the ! are for some vedic astrology.

Rahu is the dragon's head while Dhanu is the dragon's tail.
There are also specific degrees that people argue have exaltation and debilitation.
