the exam trick that actually works!
okay there are heaps of exam hacks and tips online but none of them really worked for me. i’m the type of person that can execute work perfectly in practice but in tests i always choke, and my mistakes are silly ones that could have been avoided if i’d paid a little more attention. this led to me getting B+ when i could have gotten A+ on more than one test, specifically in maths. so, my last test, i made sure to revise the crap out of whatever the topic was until i was confident. then, going into the test, i put my secret weapon into action: breathing.
in tests, our first instinct is to get it done since we’re on a time crunch and it’s graded, which is a lot of pressure. as such, we rush through it and make a lot of mistakes. in order to avoid this, when you open your paper, take a deep breath. calm yourself, then tackle the questions. i went from a B+ to an A+, and i still finished HALF AN HOUR before the time for the test was up. i wasn’t perfect and i didn’t get full marks, but going from a B+ to an A+ is great improvement. when i told my friend to do this too, she finished her test much more calmly and with half the time still left for her to double check and get rid of mistakes.
