So I was rewatching Critical Role's Calamity Miniseries for like the fifth time instead of finishing a main campaign and I came up with a character idea! An Elven Artificer of Aeor was putting the final touches on his advanced automaton (Aeormaton for you Critters) when the events of Downfall happened. His workshop, being full of arcane metals and focuses became a lightning rod during the Stormlord's anger and it caused an explosion, critically injuring the elf. In his final moments as his city began to fall towards Eiselcross, he just managed to transfer his soul into his creation. Now this Automaton lays dormant in one of the cut off caverns in the Aeor crash site, waiting to be activated. Still working on this character as I love Exandria so I will update as I get more ideas and watch more of the ever growing story Bonus idea is that perhaps during Downfall, the Arch Heart took pity on him and aided in the process of transferring his soul. OR Having him have been on Avalir instead and is now instead in a collapsed cave in the Shattered Teeth
