IT’S OK LAVA LAMP THIS IS ALL VERY RELATABLE
PLEASE HAVE A NAP AND/OR COMPLETE EXHAUSTION COLLAPSE
EITHER WAY YOU NEED THE REST
Ohoho Yuuko bringing back the core theme of his (and Syaoran’s and Watanuki’s and Doumeki’s) storyline. That doing everything alone and forcing yourself to carry every burden will never end well and will only actually hurt everyone further.
(And I say it's their storyline but it's also the core message in Magic Knight Rayearth as well. They want us to know!! Have a rest! Be nicer to yourself! Rely on others!!)
I’m very curious over why Lava Lamp has such a frustration over having to make a wish though. And Yuuko echoing that she’s aware of his feelings over wishes. But what are they?
Is this something to do with his parents? Did they raise him with warnings over wishes or is it something more dire?
Either way LOVE that the rest of the page has soft shades of grey in regular detail, but around Lava Lamp the contrast is SHARPLY black and white, mirroring the devastating stress and panic of the situation he’s finding himself in.
And Yuuko’s HEART over this whole situation is just so touching and terrible at the same time. That she (like Nadeshiko, and Fujitaka, and Lava Lamp’s parents) all KNOW that terrible things lie ahead but just have to sit there and watch it all happen to these children in real time.
Which is a form of suffering all on its own, and kind of completes the circle of “someone forcing themselves to do it all on their own” and “everyone who cares about them has to watch it happen and feel the pain of it from the sidelines”. Which is quite interesting, since they all seem to be aware that they can’t soften the blow of anything either. They just have to watch the suffering and suffer in turn.
In short, absolutely everyone has a terrible time!
