like ten years ago i went through a phase where i listened a lot to the punk band crass, which i was introduced to by effrey lewis’ album of crass song covers,,,, i don’t listen to either jeffrey lewis or crass anymore, but i still think of the beginning of crutch of society (by crass) whenever i hear about british english accents with glottal stops for t’s.....
but im listening to it now and yknow.... i’m thinking i remembered them where they aren’t ?? like there arent even any words with the double t like butter or button or whatecver and the t’s in society are like totally pronounced, not like socie’iy which became the artifact in my head
