The cold is numbing- she much prefers the rain to the snow, but it’s the middle of November, so anything but blankets of white is unlikely. That doesn’t mean she can’t have a little bit of fun. Hence, why she’s let Archie walk a few steps ahead of her as she forms the snow into a ball within her hands, praying he believes the grin on her face is excitement for sledding and not a clue that she’s about to- 

THWACK! 

The ice makes contact with his back, and JB is smart enough not to stick around, taking off to the right as she scoops up more snow.
