This is an au without the Millennium War, where Alucard and Anderson were cursed and their races were swapped. I know this might sound incredibly out of place, but it's FUN. Suffering is FUN.
@lievsvoloch is the second author
Thinking about exchange andercard AU, to be honest, Anderson is clearly not the kind of person who should become a vampire. Even as a human, he allows himself to go beyond the bounds of human moral standards. So what will happen when his entire being is drawn to something that no normal, ordinary person can bear?
Vampirism is not just a craving for blood. As we can see, even Seras inadvertently allows herself the cruelty of a cat playing with a mouse, when she still cannot fully control herself. And Anderson did this completely consciously, hunting vampires. And nothing prevents him from repeating it again, finding himself on the other side of the barricades.
Having become a vampire, although not by his own will, he will want to destroy himself in order to cleanse the world of unnatural abomination. In order not to allow himself to do something that another vampire would do. But at the same time, he, continuing to exist, will give in to his instincts time after time, because he is too accustomed to cruelty. And it will be very difficult for him to control himself, especially when, as it might seem to him, he does not have to do it. After all, he can allow it for himself, because for him there are “his people” and “strangers”, and he has his own attitude and different levels of permitted cruelty to each category.
He and Alucard are not so different. Except that Anderson, as I think, is more sacrificial than Vlad.
The first thing Alucard should do is help Anderson, who will start to lose himself in contradictions. Even before turning, there was obviously a mess inside him that he completely ignored, but after this, turning a blind eye to it will no longer work.
@lievsvoloch is the second author of au :3
I love the reverse AU as much as the original Hellsing. So I wanted to sit on two chairs. And at the same time I added a pinch of suffering and difficulties to the reverse AU to make it more interesting. That's how the exchange andercard came about. And here I was able to draw full-body Alucard.
If you want to know why he is the way he is, look further :D
I tried to imitate the Hellsing style a little, but I don't have much skill for that haha
In general, in the world of Hellsing, Malene only plays a role in the exchange andercard au.
But all sorts of interpretations and alternative stories with her are quite possible.
A little about the original character:
about your hellsing AU, if Alucard has Andersons regenerator powers would he maybe still be able to use his guns? Just not as effectively because he'd have to wait a bit for his arms to unbreak
Thank you very much for the question!
Initially, I really thought about a similar development of events, where Anderson and Alucard change not only their essences, but also their abilities. But later I came to the conclusion that I only want to change their essences and nothing more.
That is, Alucard is a human. Well, and Anderson is a vampire. Nothing more.
I can explain why.
Speaking about the role swap Hellsing AU, how do you think Alucard and Anderson got cursed? Is this one of those “they touched an ancient magical relic at the same time” or a “ran into someone practicing dark magic and got in the way” or something else entirely?
Another question (sorry haha) how do you think Anderson’s kids (Heinkel, Yumie, and Maxwell) are reacting? Would he tell them or try and hide it (obv. he can’t hide it from Maxwell but maybe the other two?)
Thanks for your questions! :3
I think I'm one of those people who love, above all else, situations where a seemingly unsolvable problem arises at the very beginning of a plot. This is especially true if that problem stems from something mundane.
