This round has released into the world some amazing and varied Theon content! We hope you have enjoyed the incredible variety of ships and gen relationships, tropes, AUs and topics. The collection will stay open in case anyone is still working on treats. Remember that there’s no deadline for these! Also, if you haven't yet commented on your gift, please do! Your creator will appreciate it.

The (non-extended) deadline for posting works has passed. Thank you everyone who posted their assignment! Those of you with extensions, we await your works and good luck finishing up!

By now, you should have either 1) posted your completed assignment, 2) reached out to us for an extension, or 3) reached out to us to default. There are a couple of people we have reached out to regarding their work – please respond to any mod communication you received today (or have not responded to yet) within 24 hours. Please check the e-mails that you put as your contact info into the sign up form, even if you think you have posted your assignment. We have questions for a couple of you.

If you’ve posted your assignment and do not yet have a gift, don’t worry! A few creators have received extensions, for one. Second, everyone who completed their assignment is guaranteed a fic, even if they need to go to pinch hits.

If you realize you need to default on your extension, please let us know ASAP. Please don’t just disappear. No-show extension defaults will receive the same one-round bad as regular no-show defaults.

Assignments are out!

Assignments are out! Please check the e-mail with which you signed up for your assignment. (Make sure to check your junk folder if it’s not in your inbox.) If you have NOT received your assignment, please reach out to the mods via off-anon ask, discord or the mod e-mail ASAP. Please respond to your assignment e-mail so we know you received it.

Your assignment will be due on December 24, 2024, 11:59 PM (PST/GMT-8). Once you have completed your work, please post it to the exchange AO3 collection.

Please remember the following as you create for your recipient:  

This is an anonymous exchange, so please keep who you are writing for and the details of what you are writing a secret (other than from your beta/writing cheerleader). If you have a question about your assignment/for your recipient, please contact the mods. DO NOT contact your recipient directly.

You must submit a completed work with a minimum of 500 words for fic OR a clean sketch on unlined paper for art. You may only create art if your recipient has stated that they are requesting art.

Your fic must be in one of the fandoms your recipient requests and centering on at least one of the romantic or platonic relationships they request in that fandom.

You MUST respect your recipient’s Do Not Wants and the highest rating they are willing to receive.

Recipients’ likes and prompts are optional, however you are encouraged to take them into consideration. Please remember that you are creating a gift for someone.

Collection will open in ~22 hours!

The collection will open on schedule, on January 13, 2024 at 11:59 pm PST (so in a little under 22hrs from this post).

If you’ve been messing around with tags, final edits, or your title, now is the time to get all those last minute changes in :) If you posted your work a while ago, you may want to re-date it so that it’s at the top of the tags on AO3 when works go live.

There is no deadline for posting treats, so feel free to still start on one even if you don’t think you’ll make it in before the collection opens!

3 Days to Deadline!

Hi everyone! This is a friendly reminder that there are now about 3 days left to the assignment deadline! As we head for the finish line, please keep in mind:

To post, open this link and click "Post to Collection" and remember to add your recipient's AO3 username to the 'gift work to' field!

Please only post when you have a complete drawing or fic of at least 500 words with an ending, even if you edit/expand later, and consider giving a re-read to your recipient's DNWs in the editing phase

If you posted a work as a draft, remember to publish it before deadline!

You have until 11.59 (PST/GMT-8) on April 5, 2024 to post. If you can't make it, you can ask for an extension until end of day on April 8.

There's no penalty if you need to default from the exchange as long as you let us know any time before the deadline. The only possible consequence is that, if you default and your creator defaults as well, we will not look for a replacement creator for you and thus you might not receive a gift. After deadline we will be contacting everyone who didn't post an assignment or contact us themselves; people who still don't respond promptly will be banned for one future run of the exchange
