HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Yes, we are somehow doing this for the FIFTH year! Thank you all for the love, creativity and discipline that made this possible. For everyone who is new, this is a Secret Santa-style fanfic (and art) exchange focused on Theon Greyjoy. The schedule for this year’s round is as follows:

Sign-ups: October 17, 2025 – October 31 2025

Assignments sent: by November 3, 2025

Assignments Due/Deadline: December 21, 2025 11:59 PM (PST/GMT-8)

Stories Revealed: January 1, 2026

Creators Revealed: January 8, 2026

All ships and gen relationships involving Theon, from either ASOIAF or GoT, are welcome to this event. This is a relatively low-pressure fic exchange with a minimum of 500 words, with the option of receiving and giving art. Follow this blog for important announcements and updates. Sure, here!

For those had not participated in previous years:

If you decided not to sign up this year but still want to do something for the exchange, or are done with your assignment but feel inspired to take on another challenge, you can write a treat!

Most of the rules of the exchange do not apply to treats: you can post to the collection at any time, before or after reveals, and can write any length. However you do need to write a relationship your recipient requested and respect their Do Not Wants and the highest rating they are willing to receive - we’ll still be checking!

Deadline is upon us!

It's just an hour and a half until the assignment deadline. You must post a complete assignment to the collection by the deadline, ask for an extension or tell us you need to default. You do not need to give a reason for defaulting or needing an extension, we just need to make sure everyone is accounted for. The longest available extension is 3 days. Also, while your work does need to be complete when you post it, you can continue to make edits or fiddle with your title/tags/summary until works go live on January 1st.

If you have NOT received your assignment, please reach out to the mods via off-anon ask, discord or the mod e-mail ASAP. Please respond to your assignment e-mail so we know you received it.

Your assignment will be due on December 21, 2025, 11:59 PM (PST/GMT-8). Once you have completed your work, please post it to the exchange AO3 collection.

Please remember the following as you create for your recipient:  

This is an anonymous exchange, so please keep who you are writing for and the details of what you are writing a secret (other than from your beta/writing cheerleader). If you have a question about your assignment/for your recipient, please contact the mods. DO NOT contact your recipient directly.

You must submit a completed work with a minimum of 500 words for fic OR a clean sketch on unlined paper for art. You may only create art if your recipient has stated that they are requesting art.

Your fic must be in one of the fandoms your recipient requests and centering on at least one of the romantic or platonic relationships they request in that fandom.

You MUST respect your recipient’s Do Not Wants and the highest rating they are willing to receive.

Recipients’ likes and prompts are optional, however you are encouraged to take them into consideration. Please remember that you are creating a gift for someone.

Creator Reveals

Creators are now revealed! Thank you everyone so much for participating in our second round of the exchange - whether you wrote/drew, read and commented, or just helped us promote, it's been a fantastic experience and we couldn't have done it without you! We've released into the world some amazing Sansa content - gen and ship alike, with excellent variety so that there's something for everyone to enjoy. We hope you all had as much fun as we did 💗

The collection will stay open in case anyone is still working on treats. Remember that there’s no deadline for these! Also, if you haven't yet commented on your gift, please do! Your creator will appreciate it.

Deadline has passed!

The deadline to post your assignment for the Sansa Exchange has officially passed. Thank you to everyone who has already posted or spoken to us about an extension! If you don't have a gift yet, it's likely because your author has asked for an extension - sit tight, everyone who posted gift will receive a gift.

Please check your email and/or discord (if you provided one in your sign up) and respond to any mod communications in the next 24 hours. This is especially important if you have not posted your and have not discussed an extension or default with us. Participants who default without informing the mods will be banned from the next year of the exchange.

Pinch Hits, if any remain, will begin going up tomorrow.

If you posted, feel free to use the remaining time until reveals to edit or to create treats!
