“ I see that Karamatsu is in an especially painful mood today. Are people stroking his ego again? ”
Zarina’s new fav hobby is bullying Osomatsu, Karamatsu, and Ichimatsu. She said that and I screamed.

@exclusivitisms liked for some incorrect quotes !
Karamatsu: You saved me. I owe you my life. Zarina: No thanks. I’ve seen it and I’m not very impressed.
Zarina: It’s dark in here. Karamatsu: Don’t worry, I got this. Karamatsu: *Stomps their feet* Karamatsu: *Skechers light up* Zarina: *kinda impressed and kinda wants to laugh*
Karamatsu, standing with their back turned: I’ve been expecting you, Zarina. Zarina: How did you do that without turning around? Karamatsu: ... To be perfectly honest, the first couple of people I did that to were not you.
Karamatsu: Can you keep a secret? Zarina: Do you know anything about my life? Karamatsu: No, I do not. Good point.
Zarina: If there's going to be a big dramatic scene, wait until I get back. Karamatsu: Of course. I can't flip this table by myself.
Zarina: You often use humor to deflect trauma. Karamatsu: Thank you. Zarina: I didn't say that was a good thing. Karamatsu: What I'm hearing is, you think I'm funny Zarina: Suuuuure, let’s go with that. Karamatsu: Heh. You think I’m funny. Zarina, rolling her eyes: Sure.
Respects Karamatsu’s and Shigemasa’s thigh appreciation. They got good tastes.

I like the direction that Season 3 is going in. It’s not as comedic as the previous seasons, but I don’t think that ‘comedy’ is exactly what the writing team was aiming for this time around. They’re aiming for something a little more ‘slice-of-lifey’. Yeah, they’re sprinkling funny stuff in, but even the first episode this season hinted at it being a bit more serious. Don’t get me wrong, I love it when the show is funny, but I don’t think that’s all we should expect from Osomatsu-san. If they are ‘ha-ha jokes’ all the time, eventually, people will get bored.
And they said it themselves, right in the show, that writing comedy all the time is hard.
Imho, as long as they’re respecting the source material Osomatsu-kun, then they should be allowed to take it in whatever direction they want. Which, Osomatsu-kun does have serious moments in it as well.
Just dropping in to tell you this fact: I love the way you play Osomatsu. Down to the meager details of his thoughts, you bring so much life to him————not just his arsehole moments, but the tender times and the vulnerability he bears. So, from a Karamatsu roleplayer to an Osomatsu roleplayer, I am blessed to have you as a mutual.
Aww, I’m so glad that you like my portrayal!! Roleplaying him has been so much fun. I’ll admit, I was incredibly tentative about roleplaying him at first. I’m not the best at writing humorous threads. But, then, I started to analyze his character. I realized that, much like his brothers, he doesn’t have to be written comedically all the time. He does have layers and insecurities, they are just incredibly subtle. For example, he is always mentioning his loneliness. It isn’t something that becomes pronounced until he snaps.
( There is a short, actually, where he mentions to Iyami how lonely he is when his brothers aren’t around- I can link it if people haven’t seen it. He has told Totoko-chan that he is lonely without his brothers- Cherry Blossoms. He has even told his brothers about his loneliness - Todomatsu’s Line. They’re just so wrapped up in their own issues, bless them, that they don’t notice it. And he isn’t loud when he voices it to them, so I think it just blows right over them. Or, they do notice, they just don’t know what to do for him. )
I got carried away talking about my boy Osomatsu again. I’ve just come to love and appreciate him so much. I really appreciate that Osomatsu-san is a comedy that cares about its characters. There aren’t enough comedies like it.
