As soon as the bell for class to end resounds, Ryuunosuke is out of the room and disappearing into the crowd at the speed of sound. Can’t demand the homework he hasn’t passed in if he’s not in the classroom, after all! It’s a fool proof plan that has yet to fail him.

What’s that? ‘Maybe do your homework, and then you wouldn’t have to worry about this’? Oh no, he’s too far away, he can’t hear you at all.

Throwing his bag over his shoulder, he rounded the corner at full tilt, only to turn his run into a surprisingly elegant twist to avoid running face first into the person who was around the corner. He manages to avoid knocking them over while staying on his feet.

“Whoops, sorry! I almost flattened you! You okay? Did you drop anything?”

Ryuu gives the floor a quick scan without waiting for an answer.

Most of the time, Ryuu is used to being among the tallest of people in any given area, but especially at school. There are a few people he sees around that look like they could be a foot taller than him, but they’re so rare and he already knows most of them anyway.

And the reason he knows them is because he does the exact same thing to them he’s about to do on this poor, unsuspecting person. All it takes for his scattered brain is to see, ah, yes, someone taller than me, I should just go and talk to them for that sole reason.

Sometimes he doesn’t even mention why. Ryuu will start conversations with strangers for any reason his brain can conjure.

“Yo!”

Bouncing up with a grin, he gives a wave, and no explanation before he launches into talking.

“S’up? The name’s Ryuu, and I decided to bother you for no reason. What cookin’, good lookin’?”
