My yoga studio is attached to a gym. I see athletes and us regular folk in there lifting weights and working our muscles so we look good on the beach. We don't often hear about diseases of the six pack muscles. We do however, hear of problems with the pelvic floor. As we age that is often the first thing to go. There isn't any piece of equipment in the gym that works the pelvic floor (correct me if I'm wrong. It happens!) And ewww, if there is. This sequence gets the hips in action in a non aggressive way (for most). It helps stretch and strengthen the pelvic floor, getting us ready to age gracefully. Start on your back and follow the sequence. Make sure you breathe and try to stay relaxed. No jaw clenching or face making. If you want to walk into old age and maintain activity levels, you need to cross train with strength and flexibility and heart health. Diet, exercise and spiritual growth . One can't work without the others and be a successful, whole human enjoying the experience of life. If one is out of whack, you are too. Get on the floor and use your body, which holds your mind, your organs and your health. #ommazinglife #yogaforeverybody #yogaover50 #Iloveyoga #exercisemindandbody #youarewhatyoueatandthink #yogaeveryday #yogasavedmylife #yogaforeverybody #yogaover50 #yogaover60
