Title of the Exhibition: “Instant Stories: Wim Wenders Polaroids”

Compositional Aspect: The framing of some of the photographs is direct. Meaning what ever the message that he is trying to convey can be easily captured in his photographs. The use of light that he utilises is from natural lighting. One of the various themes that we can observe coming from each of his pictures is spur of the moment type captures. Some are captured from a moving point of view while others are captured from a different lens within a lens. There are not many uses of shapes in his photo. I noticed that majority of the photos are from dull colours with a touch of vibrancy.
Meaning: The meaning of the photographs that Wenders has taken is all spontaneous, living in the moment. Capturing life as it passes by. I do not believe that there is a deeper meaning to the images just that life passes by in a glimpse and sometimes it needs to be captured to convey the importance of living each day likes it the last.
Of the photographs that I selected the first one is of glasses focusing in on the background of a city. I think it is about seeing life in different perspectives. Where the other photograph that I selected is of a quick snapshot of somewhere in the city. I think that this photograph is about life living in the moment. Could have been a pedestrian walking by and seeing something patriotic such as the flag and taking the photo quickly. Makes me think of there possibly being a protest or a parade that was happening at that moment. Overall I believe that the photos that were taken in this series represents things that can be found in the city that you are in. Wenders photos were all based out of California so having an insight of the atmosphere and the people that reside there.
