UNTITLED FALMOUTH: BIG NEWS, BIG CHANGES, BIG POST
Dear all,
UNTITLED Falmouth would like to wish you a super new year and many great things to come for 2014.
With every new year comes opportunity for changes and growth. We are looking forward to developing a new group and seeing some innovative ways to encourage and celebrate Falmouth's creativity.
Unfortunately, UNTITLED Falmouth has faced some difficulty over the past few months regarding a new bar opening in town. You may have seen the posters and presence of "UNTITLED Bar and Gallery". Just in case you were wondering, this is not the UNTITLED Falmouth you know and love! Our brand has been lifted by an alternative, profit driven organisation before our very eyes. Whilst we love free gallery spaces and recognise the importance for the community, we are disappointed that 'Untitled' (part of No.4 Killigrew Street) felt it was acceptable to hijack the legacy of UNTITLED Falmouth especially without any attempt to communicate with us beforehand.
As a resilient and generational group, we are looking to hand over the collective to a new team for 2014. This will mean changing the name, we will no longer be known as UNTITLED Falmouth. We look forward to making some exciting new changes and would like to hear from any enthusiastic individuals who may want to develop the platform for creativity in Falmouth. We welcome everyone! If interested, please email [email protected] with a couple of sentences letting us know what you do and why you would like to be part of UNTITLED Falmouth in it's new form.
For now, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has attended our events, exhibited with us, read our zines, followed our websites and generally made the platform possible. We have greatly appreciated all of the help we have received from Espressini, Hand Bar, 5 Below, The Fish Factory and The Poly whose generosity and support has been invaluable to us over the years.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Big love from the UNTITLED Falmouth teams past and present.
