I really love the conversation they where having in this scene because I think it peppered the stage for act one of the series. Maybe I’m looking to deep in to it but I feel like Loki was trying to nonchalantly ask mobius if he wanted to overthrow the TVA with him ( or like how a person on Twitter said it “ it sounded like he was trying to ask him to run away with him”). mobius persecutive is that the world is chaos and people crate these excuses on why where here. example: Religion, gods, the Big Bang theory, even the time keepers, there all excuses, he likes the excuses, though, because they gave him a purpose. As for Loki he doesn’t like the factor of no free wills and the fact that the TVA exist is just how uncertain all these “excuses” are, because in a way Loki is out of the time line, mobius is out of the time line, in fact everyone in the TVA is out of time. There all just floating in time opening doors to different time periods to jump in and out of. How do you reasonably explain that, how do you cover that up with an excuse. You can’t but you can try. I think why mobius likes the TVAs purpose for him is because at least he’s comforted bye the elusion of an end instead of getting sucked in to the chaos of the world and never ending time, what I’m trying to say is I think his biggest fear and what he longs for the most is the unknown, he’s scared of it but also really wants it too . And from Loki’s point of view he just looks like a man who hates chaos unlike him who was literally born with it all around him, but maybe deep down all the second guessing and major trust issues he knows mobius would explore more into the subject of free will and finding your won path to your own purpose if he was the one showing him. That’s probably why he hesitated when he was about to disappear because he still had hope, but probably though better of it,because, you no, don’t want to be a burden.

The same mental mechanisms of abstraction and meaning-assignment gave us science, culture, music, art...all the way down to the very electricity and networking architecture that powers the Internet you're using right now. But it also gave us loss, hatred, vindication, jealousy, and betrayal. So the question to ask yourself, and only you can answer this for yourself, is was it worth it?

It's crazy to think how important physical attraction is in our world. I won't eat a strawberry if it has an ugly stain or not shaped the way i want it to be, even if they all taste the same inside. To think how many great strawberries i never gave the chance to eat simply because I didn't think they were good enough from how they look.

do you ever think about all the alternate lives you could have lived, if you just had taken different choices in life? all the people you could have met, all the people you wouldn't have met? all the things you could have seen and experienced, all the things you would never see and experience? all the different versions of you that will never be?

I do all my great thinking whilst doing the dishes. Or in the shower.

As I was doing the dishes I was hit by the realization that I have now finished half of my 180 day Residence Permit, at the end of which I must vacate the great country of China. There are 89 days left on my permit which is a little bit crazy. I can't believe that I have lived in Beijing for three months. Nutso. Of course I can renew my visa but I highly doubt that will happen because as great as my current life is on occasion, living under someone else's house and on their schedule is just NOT for me. Don't get me wrong, I have totally had some great experiences (and some not so great) and would love to come back to visit more in the future when I can afford to travel greater distances. I'm not sure if you know this or not but China is MASSIVE. Canada is only 4500 or so sq km bigger making China #3 in the world after Russia and us. Plus being here has reintroduced me to my love of languages and I would really like to pursue Mandarin further. And that wouldn't look too shabby on the resume of an aspiring diplomatic worker/political scientist lol. Long story short, I would love to come back one day. But to my own apartment for work/school or to travel on my own schedule. My ferocious independence just doesn't jive too well with this kind of job. 

And as I was doing all this great thinking I also thought of the phrase "It's all downhill from here." This has a negative connotation of things getting worse but I got to thinking, if you're walking or biking up a hill it's reaching the summit that is the rough part. The downhill is easy as pie. Especially on a bike, that's the best part. I remember when I was younger I would set my bike on a tough gear and peddle my little butt off until I reached the top and then fly down the other side with my legs swinging on either side of the bike. So, flying in the face of traditional sayings, I plan to rejoice in the downhill. I'm going to make a list of things I want to see in and around Beijing before I leave so I can say I thoroughly explored my city du jour. 

I also have to plan my vacation which will most likely be in October or early November. It will be veeeery tight budgeting as I still have to pay for another prohibitively expensive transpacific flight and I would very much like to travel for a bit when my visa is up. I'm thinking Hong Kong and then Tokyo would be perfect. I would have a little sampling of Asia which tends to be how I roll when I travel. Just the tip, if you will. In other words, I have some intense travel planning (my absolute favouritest favourite thing to do in the world other than travelling itself) and budgeting to do.

ps. Pinterest hasn't worked in about a month now and I am despondent. The app on my phone works a little but it's so horrifically slow that I just end up throwing my phone across the room instead of enjoying delightful pictures of DIYs or gorgeous outfits or potential travel ideas etc. etc. Despondent I say!
