Who's Behind Viral Traffic Optimizer? Anyone who is familiar with the Warrior Forum may know Dan Brock as someone who's a well established internet marketer. Even though he likes to present himself as a lazy guy he's usually busy working on new products designed to help anyone make money online. Two of the products he launched previously were Deadbeat Super Affiliate and Deadbeat Millionaire plus he was behind a number of others. The term "Deadbeat" refers to Dan being able to setup a system that pretty much works for him on autopilot with hardly any intervention after. ...
[Advice] Anyone ever try this exit pop model?

Hey Gang... Just posted this on a forum thread over at SuperFastResults.com.
Mike wrote: I was checking the weekend weather on intellicast.com and noticed some ad banners. One was animated and promoting a fitness product.
I checked it out to see what they were up to and it lead to a video salespage for a fitness product.
When I click the x to close the window, I got the exit pop but this time the buttons were very clearly labelled "leave the site" and "stay on this page" and the message read something like "you've left incomplete data on the page and it will be lost if you close. Are you sure you want to close the window?"
The offer that came up for this $47 Clickbank product offered it to you at $19.95 and then the balance in 21 days.
Anyone ever try that model? I recall a discussion about it and most of us figured if you're too cheap to buy then you're welcome to leave. I just thought it was interesting that this guy tried something different.

Hey Mike,
It all comes down to context.
If it's a pure lead-gen site that the user is unlikely to experience (visit) again, then it's worth a test.
If it's a site that you have which is aimed at building a relationship with the visitor, just ask yourself the question: Are you willing to compromise the user experience for a lift in opt-ins?
A lot of people take the view that if the site offers a lot of great value, test a pop-up with a high-value offer... as the people who get offended by the pop-up were probably not your ideal target audience anyway--if they were your target audience, they would have seen the value in the pop-up offer and taken action in response. It's a somewhat brutal approach, but it does have some validity to it.
Hope that helps, Pete www.PeteWilliams.com.au || www.PreneurMarketing.com p.s. This response was actually transcribed and posted by my virtual assistant.
