hope had spent the summer in the enchanted forest with her big brother . after begging for months , her parents had let henry and ella look after her with lucy . hope had sought out all witches and sorcerers to help contain her magic ; part of her reasoning to go to misthaven . her bag rolled behind her as she came up the docks , her mom there waiting for her . “ mom ! ”  hope called out as she dropped her bags , running towards emma with the biggest tackle hug she’d ever given her . “ i missed you . ”

      as she sat on the edge of the wharf, her feet dangling over the edge, evie can’t help but sigh. when she had first come to town in search of her mother, she was worried. worried that she wouldn’t be good enough, worried that she wasn’t right..she was just worried. she didn’t even fit in, in this stupid town, sometimes she wondered what it would be like if she was still back in the orphanage, but the other half of her was glad she was there..it at least meant she was somewhat safe. hearing footsteps approach, evie cleared her throat before speaking “I’m really not in the best of moods at the moment, so, whoever you are..it’d really appreciate it if you left me alone to be by myself please.”

      “      are you sure i can’t tempt you into working here      ?       “     uma’s so tired of working at her mothers fish and chips     !     more so because she’s treated like a lackey whilst her mother just sits in the back doing absolutely nothing because she’s beyond lazy.      it’s not like she’s asking emma to take over her position,     to be the lackey      ------      she’s merely asking for some company,      a bit of assistance.     plus emma seems fun to be around,     she could definitely teach uma a thing or two.       “     honestly if my company isn’t enough to persuade you,     i don’t know what is.      “

Regina was exhausted. Her back hurt, her feet hurt, and honestly, her ears hurt too. Listening to her two mortal enemies’ spewing sickly sweet hope speeches and declarations of love every two seconds was grating on her last nerve. Emma Swan, the bane of her life, was leading this merry band of men through Neverland as though she was the woman who was solely dead inside from the loss of her son (Regina’s son, actually, as Emma hadn’t wanted him). And the Pirate? His lack of empathy and humourless jokes were almost enough to push her over the edge.

She hadn’t slept in days. She had hardly touched any of the provisions of food they’d brought with them. And she was frustrated. Why hadn’t they been able to retrieve Henry yet?

Setting up camp only sent her to boiling point. She had snapped at Snow and Charming at their insistence to rest, had growled in pure rage when they tried to reason that none of them would be able to find Henry if they didn’t try to get some sleep, but all she could think about was all the wasted time they could be spending finding her son. And so she went to the only other person who might possibly have a few brain cells knocking about in their head.

“Em-ma.” Her voice was strained, brittle, clearly both distressed and angry as she pulled the self-appointed leader aside. “Tell your foolish parents that we are not setting up camp already! We need to find Henry and we won’t do that by lazing around!”

“ --- the saviour. is that what they call you? ”  her words pierce, as if a mockery to the title bestowed upon the blonde. a woman who could barely comprehend the magical capacity she holds -- how ridiculous, how incredulous all of this is to her. of course, she should not be mocking emma -- for her body is encased behind bars, her WRIST bound by a brace, && her pendant stolen from her.  // @exjailbird | ZELENA STARTER CALL.

                                                   @exjailbird wanted some hope 

                                       " i’m sorry mom , ” hope sighed softly , she assumed that her grandmother would have called her mom , told her about her outburst during lunch break at school . she wanted to be strong , like her mother and father . smart and important like her brother , but hope , she was just neurotic . a freak . that was what everyone called her anyway , she had flicked her grandmother’s chalk across the room , shattering it and causing a puff of smoke , to which hope freaked out and teleported herself back home in a puff of orange smoke . “ i’m trying to work on controlling it , i’m just not like you or dad , i’m no real pirate , i’m no second savior . i’m just , me . and no one seems to like me . ” she sat on the couch , hands clasped and her head down , terrified of what her mom might say .
