The hazbin/vivziepop hate on Twitter can not be real, it HAS to be in my imagination. There's no other way. There's no way people are bullying each other, artists and a creator like that. It's one thing to dislike a show or it's creator, but calling vivzie UGLY and posting real life pictures of her, digging up ancient posts to bully her with AND just MASSES of people calling her a defender or fetishizer for not displaying everything woke enough. Ts can't be real. Yall realize that her shows are made by not only her right? That a lot of people work rlly hard on them, right? And if I'm already being "just honest" as a lot of ppl on Twitter say it, a lot of the "improved" redesigns I've seen by artists who shit on vivizies designs just show why they don't have a show but she does. This was the nicest way I could phrase it. I'm not a fan of her as a person, but I'm also smart enough to see that she was passionate enough about essential things to have it work in her favor.

Also as a person who touches grass and actually talks to people: you are allowed to see her stuff as bad representation, BUT I've had people, NT straight people talk to me about her shows and how much they like it and the dynamics between some of the characters who have something romantic going on who are of the same gender. This might not sound like much, but it does A LOT FOR us. Even if it's in an abusive, silly or unproblematic way it doesn't matter because it gets ppl to normalize queer relationships and that they also come in all forms (yes, good AND awful ones). And ppl online LOVE to say "so we are supposed to be thankful for crumbs???" YES??????????? ABSOLUTELY????????

Maybe I'm not woke enough for all of this but I feel like people who are more online than outside forget how awfuly HATED queer ppl are. How truly terrifying it is out there, and that popular media does affect people in real life and their opinions about real living people.

So SHOUTOUT to all the queer creators who make popular queer media that get shit on by their own community. SHOUTOUT to voice actors who maybe aren't even queer themselves but put their whole passion into voicing queer characters and making them fun and loved. Shoutout to all the storyboard artists, revisionists, background artists, sound artists, composers, writers and everyone else who worked as a team. I see all the effort.

I think I'd start to move into dangerous territory regarding the whole hazbin drama. This time I'd love to share my thoughts about this character: Valentino

Reminder: This isn't even much of a personal take, it's more a basic observation.

He's rightfully hated, yet he seems like one of the characters that are written more realistically. He's abusive, desensitized, violent etc etc, and he gets away with it. I've seen this exact point getting called bad writing. Hear me out.

Dragging out Angel's suffering, Valentino having the upper hand often and getting away with it is the right way to handle it for now. People like him get away with it ALL THE TIME. It obviously offends people who are survivors or ppl who just have a hard time looking at the situation, which is understandbale. But how many times have we seen music producers, movie producers or just your average neighbor get away with it? And still not be shunned? Still being a person accepted by society? It happens ALL THE TIME.

How often do we hear about people who kept someone basically a prisoner, to just live somewhere else when called out and keep going like nothing happened. It is ON POINT.

"But Charlie smiled at him while knowing about what he did to Angel" this happens all the time. I think Charlie is a bit self righteous with her actions more often than not BUT how many times did you hear someone say "well they didn't hurt ME so why would I be mad at them?". People ARE horrible, people come with good traits and can still have bad ones. Valentino can be goofy yet a monster. Charlie can be good but too much, making things worse.

I love it when abusers get it just like the rest of us, but sadly, for what we have right now, it's very accurate how it would realistically go for Angel and Valentino. It's not bad writing at all. Its so spot on it pisses people off.

Everytime my talented artist friends are genuinely sad about their art not reaching many people all I can tell them is that I learned by being on here for over a decade: your skill doesn't matter. It depends on the fandom, the memes, sometimes even ships... AND LUCK.

Did a blog with a big following reblog your stuff? Did you make the right thing at the right time? Lucky.

It's not about skill. I've seen artist on here that deserve to be known, yet they are not. You aren't the problem. You'll either have luck someday or try forever. But your art is still amazing. Notes never determined value. I love you. Keep drawing.

I'm so happy that there are more groups nowadays for trans people to talk with each other and to keep each other sane, but sometimes I do get a little jealous and wish there'd be a support system for intersex people that isn't just fetish chasers in disguise. Not just forums that ask for pictures, ask how intersex ppl work down there even if it's just out of curiosity. I want to talk about how this affects you when you feel the gender you were assigned at birth, but you also feel like a freak and fall into depression because your looks don't match societies idea of it. I've been on hrt for over a decade and I've had plastic surgery and still I sometimes feel like I'm a mockery of a woman. I wish I wouldn't get talked down when I desperately tried to find support in trans groups because "you're not trans so you don't get it" I promise you I do get it, I get feeling like you're wrong, being dependent on treatments and going through one surgery after another trying to make everything match. I do get it, and it's awful and I wish that maybe in the future we wouldn't make a competition out of it, but pick each other up. May we heal from all this one day.
