hi felinefractious! my mother found this cat on facebook and i was wondering what you thought of it? my thought is dye/some sort of substance covering a light body-coloured point? link: https://www.facebook.com/reel/943743970979985
i can't get very good screenshots cause the cat + camera keeps moving so it's best to watch the video xp
I agree this isn’t a real color pattern, I can’t say for certain what’s actually going on but I’m inclined to agree with you that this is a pointed cat (blue point) with an otherwise dyed coat of sort.
🥀 Dinner and Houndkit, they belong to @exocynraku 🥀
this might be a really weird question but do you have a specific thought process for naming your wc ocs? i don't know how to explain it but i feel you have a much more unique (positive statement) way of naming characters compared to other people and i'm curious if it's something you do purposefully, or not and i'm just crazy
nah it's not weird at all, i LOVE naming and it's literally one of my favorite things to do.
i tend to lean for alliteration or names that sound "smooth", for example, i feel like the name mereshadow sounds "smoother" then meredark or merewhisp (but mereshade sounds cool!)
i also really like picking out words and animals using either inaturalist or reverse dictionary
also sometimes it's more fun to break a name making "sense" if it sounds cool. however i do like to pick names that "associate" (sealwhisker, coronashine, boltstrike) too. a good mixture
not sure how to describe how i name or why i do it the way i do... but when i was 9 i had a cat named shattershore
