Hey Chick. Secret Santa wishes you a speedy recovery and a big hug.
I hope the upcoming season will see you in good health, so you can enjoy all it brings about.
I love going out as much as the weather allows it, to visit little villages and take photos of their Christmas markets, I like making the most out of it because it goes by really fast. I think mostly it's because I miss the way I used to celebrate when I was younger ( hink storybook like: snow for months, fire in the stove, grandparents to endulge me, sleigh rides and more snow:() I miss those days and to bring them back I try to get festive as much as I can.
What about you? How are winter celebrations for you? Any good memories?
With holiday cheer, Secret Santa🎄
When I was younger, I would normally spend the holidays in Mexico since my family would take an annual trip to visit family. I remember one year, I was forced to take part in some posadas (it's similar to Christmas caroling except you are essentially recreating the story of Mary and Joseph up until the last day and you get to break a pinata). The past few years, I've driven to a beach park that has some really pretty Christmas lights every year to see them and then continue driving around with my mom and younger brother to look at houses that have decorations up. Not me crying on a car ride to pick up my uncle from a bus terminal about this. I've been trying to recall memories for a while now and I don't know if it's the fact that I haven't been back to Mexico since December 2020/January 2021 or my obviously fading memory, but I can't recall much of the festivities that don't revolve around celebrating with my mom's side of the family (god the tamales and pozole will forever be engrained into my memory). I miss those days so much.
Your celebrations are literally straight from a fairytale! I really hope I get the chance to experience them one day!
