I'm not interested in roasting this guy, but
"I love this community, but when I see almost everyone in it fall for a trick that Scooby-Doo has been using for 40 years (introduce character, imply character is villain, reveal character is not villain), it’s kinda hard to not laugh at the situation. Just look at this as me laughing at the whole thing, not anyone involved.
And yes, I’m aware of the idea that It’s Vanessa's ghost on top of the Pizza Plex in that ending, but I honestly find that idea to be a bit of a stretch."
The issue with the fire ending is that....didn't happen. SB intro'd Vanessa and implied she's the villain, yeah, but what didn't happen is revealing she's not the villain. That's why any debate about this exists at all. No matter how you slice it, it unmasked Vanny as Vanessa. (1)
"If she was intended to be a ghost, they probably should have made that more clear. Make her slightly transparent or void of color, anything that would make it clear that it's not a living person.
Without that all that cutscene conveys to any normal person is that they were two different people. It doesn't matter how contradictory other parts of the game are, it doesn't change the fact that ending was specifically designed to say "THESE ARE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE."
So either they're two different people, or the developers are really bad at making a cohesive story."
To be honest, they unmasked vanny as Vanessa after throwing her from a building and killing her, alongside the retro cds also saying that its her. I don't think Steel Wool expected us to need additional help.
I'd also say that if the point of the ending is they were two different people...they'd have been different people. But instead, vanny is unmasked as Vanessa. If you're going to argue the meaning was they're seperate, then the contradictions matter. And again, if the ending was meant to say they're seperate then why aren't they. (2)
Red herrings hide the truth, but with the reveal they make a new sense. That's not what happens in SB. If it doesn't function as a red herring, it likely isn't one.
lofi hip hop beats to exorcize to
I was talking about Supernatural with my friend and he typed "exercise a demon" instead of "exorcize a demon" So I made him this little beauty.
