Stone Exotic Destination IPA (Picked up at Bev-Mo). A 3 of 4. A lot of pine and herbal qualities on the nose with some orange and grapefruit behind it. Some honey-like sweetness, too, but the body is much less sweet than the nose hints. Medium bitterness and dry finish with much the same hop qualities in the body.
Sea duty in exotic places....
EAST CHINA SEA (April 20, 2020) -- United States Navy Avenger-class mine countermeasure ship USS Chief (MCM 14) on a routine training mission in front of active volcano Mt. Io-dake....just off the southern tip of Japan proper.
An aerial view of Mt. Io-dake on Iojima island (Not to be confused with famous World War II battle on the island of Iwo Jima far to the south in the Pacific Ocean.)
Mt. Io-dake/Iojima Island indicated by the red triangle here.
