It seems a pity but I do not think I can write more R Scott, last entry.... For God's sake look after our people.

The last diary entry on 29 March 1912 before Scott of the Antarctic died. He was only eleven miles away from safety but had been trapped in a fearsome blizzard for nine days.
One of his last letters was to his close friend and the author of Peter Pan, Â J.M. Barrie: 'More practically I want you to help my widow and my boy- your godson. We are showing that Englishmen can still die with a bold spirit, fighting it out to the end.'
