My Accomplishments: YouthBuild Newark
On May 16, 2017, I donated one thousand dollars to another organization by the name of Youth Build Newark for my experimental philanthropy project. The goal was to find a local nonprofit in the city of Newark that works to combat social issues, meet and interview the organization, and present a case to the greater class of why this organization deserves their recognition, support, and funding. My group and I decided to choose an organization that tackles gang violence as well as at risk communities as our social issue. We convinced the class and were able to win the $1000 donation from Rutgers.
