Expia: Phase 1 - Red - Sunstrikers, Mercenaries with a Cause A world of chaos and strife, in which death is temporary for those who choose to fight. Expia's malevolent sentience drives its surface toward this goal, with little thought for those who wish to live peacefully.
Expia: Phase 2 - Blue - Auma Dali, Seekers of the Unseen The rebirth of Expia led to the death of its conscience. Now a mindless world, it seeks only to expand itself, and the people on its surface live relatively quiet lives as a result. That being said, there are still dangers lurking in the shadows...

Red Side - Conflict of Interest Expia seeks to drive its enemies against each other. Outsiders are summoned, and their stories and occupations are used to drive them toward despair. Disregarding the laws of the Altergate, Expia twists the outsiders' souls so that they will die if they do not follow orders... knowing full well that the consequences of an outsider death could be disastrous. The laws of death on Expia are also warped, tailor-made to control each individual.
Blue Side - Chaos from Order The Altergate's connection to alternate timelines is utilized by the forces that drive the growing conflict on Expia. Only one incarnation of each outsider is summoned, but outsiders can be summoned from any number of timelines, resulting in confusion among those that should know each other. In an unusual blessing, outsiders who are killed in battle or otherwise die will be reincarnated, resulting in no harm to the Altergate's stability; however, the same does not apply to Expia's natives.

Red Side - The Unwanted, the Unexpected and the Fallen Expia takes advantage of each outsider's personal troubles to manipulate them.
Blue Side - A Myriad of Unnatural Occurrences Each world has multiple variations, all of which are linked to the Altergate.

In Phase 1 (Red Side), outsiders will be allied with the Sunstrikers. In Phase 2 (Blue Side), outsiders will be allied with Auma Dali. Both groups are led by Amelie Devonne and Calamitas Starthunder, though their native companions may vary.
