Hi can you make an imagine about Ruby Rose and (Y/N) being childhood best friends and they are like inseparable and people always ask if they are together but they aren't. And one day Ruby says she loves (Y/N) but (Y/N) doesn't love her that way and Ruby is being friendzoned and a few days later (Y/N) says she loves Ruby too but it's to late. It's just an idea so you can do wathever you want.
If this has spelling mistakes, I’m sorry but I’m too tired to edit it right now and I need to get something up before I have my exam on Tuesday, cause tomorrow is just a complete day of studying for me :)
PART 2

“Alright sweetie, are you ready to go?” my mum asked, squatting down infront of my excited form and placing her hands on my shoulders, giving me a small smile. “You know you can come home at any time… Just tell the teacher and they will call me.”
“I’ll be fine mummy,” I giggled, wrapping my arms around her neck and squeezing tightly, leaning back to place a kiss on her cheek. She let out a deep sigh, running her fingers through my messy curls, pecking my forehead.
“Go have fun,” she smiled, straightening up and giving me a soft nudge. I waved at her, taking off towards my classroom, spotting my teacher standing outside the door, greeting everyone as they arrived.
“Hello,” she smiled down at me, holding out her hand. “What’s you’re name sweetie?”
“I’m Y/N!” I grinned, pushing her hand away and wrapping my arms around her long legs instead, giggling when I saw her shocked expression.
“Well Y/N, I’m Miss Parker,” she ruffled my hair. “Why don’t you go put your bag down and go inside?” I nodded, letting go of her legs and running off and hooking my back on one of the hooks, stepping into the classroom and glancing around. There were a few students already in there, most sitting alone but some clustered in small groups, giggling to each other. I spotted a small blonde girl sitting alone on one of the bean bags, so I skipped towards her and collapsed into the one next to her.
“Hi,” I turned to her, giving her a big smile. “I’m Y/N. What’s your name?”
“Ruby,” she mumbled, glancing up at me for a second, smiling softly.
“You have very pretty eyes Ruby,” I giggled, brushing her hair away from her face so I could see her bright blue eyes better. “Do you want to be bestfriends?”
“Really?” her head shot up, looking at me with hopeful eyes. I nodded, giggling when she shuffled her bean bag closer so ours were joined. “Yes please!” We shuffled closer together, pretty much sitting on top of each other, hands joined and heads leaning against the other, whispering softly between the two of us.
“Alright kiddies!” Miss Parker clapped loudly, making us all jump at the sudden noise. “Find a partner!” Ruby and I glanced at each other, massive smiles on our faces.

I tightened my grip on my backpack, somehow managing to fight my way through the packs of excited high school students, spotting Ruby standing at her locker with her hoodie up over her head. I made my way towards her, wrapping my arms around her waist and giving her a quick hug from behind, noticing the way she tensed in my hold slightly.
“Do you know why everyone’s so excited?” I asked, feeling her relax, her head shaking as she continued to riffle through her locker. “Well it’s really annoying.. It’s not even first class and I’ve already got a headache.”
“Poor baby,” she chuckled, closing her locker door and turning around to face me, her hair covering most of her face. “Ready to go?”
“We’ve still got like 20 minutes till the bell rings,” I rolled my eyes, reaching forward to brush her bangs away, gasping at what I saw underneath. “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!”
“Stop yelling!” she hissed, shaking her hair back into place and grabbing my hand, pulling me towards the girls bathrooms and pushing me into one of the cubicles, following me in and locking the door. “Look, you can’t tell anyone about this…”
“Who did this to you?” I pushed her hoodie off her hair, moving her hair away from her face and wincing at the bruises scattered around her face. “Ruby, this is abuse! You have to tell the police!”
“They already know,” she sighed, shuffling closer to me and leaning her forehead against my shoulder, my arms automatically wrapping around her, holding her close to me. “I tried to cover it up but nothing was working..”
“Why…” I simply said, feeling the tears begin to well up in my eyes, a sob getting caught in my throat. “Why would someone do this to you?”
“Because of who I am,” she whispered, making me close my eyes and will the tears away. I knew she would get hate for coming out at such an early age, but I never knew people could be this horrible to her. She had been nothing but kind to everyone in this school, and this is how they repay her. “I knew I shouldn’t never told anyone.”
“You shouldn’t have to hide who you are,” I shook my head, running my fingers through her long hair, hearing her start to sob into my shirt, my heart breaking at the sound. “I’m gonna protect you… This is not happening again just because you like girls. All those homophobes can fuck right off, otherwise I’ll kill them personally.”
“I don’t want you to go to jail,” she pulled back, staring up at me with glassy eyes.
“I won’t get caught,” I winked, pecking her forehead. “Come on… I’ll put some makeup on those bruises and it’ll be like it never happened.” I unlocked the door, giggling as we both attempted to walk out together. I gently pushed her towards the sinks, dropping my bag on the floor and fishing out my makeup, beginning to dab it on her bruises, frowning when she began to wince at the pressure. I continued to work on her face, hearing the door handle start to rattle, the loud sounds of girls banging on it outside.
“What the fuck! Open the door!” someone squealed, making me roll my eyes and put the makeup away, nodding in approval at the completely covered bruises. I took Ruby’s hand in my own, giving it a soft squeeze and unlocking the bathroom door, a group of girls falling at my feet from leaning against the door. “Oh, it’s you two.” They got up, brushing off their uniforms and staring at Ruby. “Where did the bruises go? You ashamed of being gay bashed?”
“Aren’t you ashamed of gay bashing?” I stepped infront of Ruby, raising a brow at the girls. “Move the fuck out of my way.” The girls sneered at me but moved away, letting me pull Ruby outside the bathroom, turning back to look at the girls. “And if you ever lay a hand on Ruby again, you won’t have any hands left.”
“Whatever lesbian,” one of the girls scoffed. “Let your girlfriend protect herself.”

“GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!” a loud voice screamed, a pillow smacking down on my head a moment later, making me groan into my own pillow.
“Fuck off,” I mumbled, blindly reaching my hand out and attempting to hit whoever was interrupting my beauty sleep.
“Come on, get up,” the intruder giggled, jumping on my back and running their fingers through my hair. I instantly knew it was Ruby, knowing she loved my hair and would always run her fingers through it, claiming it calmed her down when she was angry or upset. “We have a lot to do today.”
“Piss off,” I huffed, turning my head so I could see her. “I’m hungover.”
“Well that’s your own fault,” she scoffed, rolling off me, instead lying next to my tired form, giving me a bright smile. “C’mon, you promised to go to my shoot today!”
“I’ll go to another one,” I rolled my eyes, shuffling closer to her and lying my head on her chest, sighing in relief when she began to give me a head massage. “But now you’re my pillow, so you can’t go either.”
“Y/N, get off Ruby!” my mum barged into my room, throwing a pillow at my face. Seriously, where were all these pillows coming from! “She has to go to a shoot, and you said you’d go with her! So get up and get ready young lady!”
“But mummmmmm!” I whined, slapping Ruby’s chest when she began to chuckle. “I’ve got a headache…”
“That’s your fault for drinking,” my mum rolled her eyes, walking over to me and pulling on my arm. “Get up now!” I let out a deep sigh, letting her pull me up and towards the bathroom, starting to strip out of my clothes once I was in there. “I’ll have breakfast ready for you two lovebirds when you’re done.”
“We’re not dating mum,” I rolled my eyes, chucking my clothes in the hamper and stepping into the already running shower, groaning at the feeling of the hot water on body. I took a quick shower, turning it off and jumping out, immediately wrapping a towel around my body. “Are we going out afterwards Ruby?”
“Dunno yet,” she responded, still lying on my bed, scrolling through her phone now. “Dress nice just in case we do go somewhere.” She turned her head, giving me a dopey smile, raising her brows suggestively. “Damn you’re soaking wet.”
“Fuck off,” I rolled my eyes, riffling through my draws and pulling out a matching bra and panty set. I pulled the panties up my legs and under the towel, dropping it a minute later to put my bra on, not really caring if Ruby was watching. We’ve both got the same parts and we’ve been bestfriends for 14 years; there are no secrets between us anymore. “Should I wear jeans or a dress?”
“Dress so Ruby can have easy access,” a loud voice spoke from my door, making me whip around and see my older brother standing in the doorway, winking at me.
“But then it’s too easy,” Ruby shot back, raising a brow at my brother. “I need to work to something. Pants make it harder to get what I want.”
“Can you two stop please,” I sighed, picking up my towel and throwing it at my brother. “Leave us alone.”
“You’re right, shouldn’t interfere on your lesbian sex,” he chuckled, sticking his tongue out at me, running down the hallway a moment later to escape the wrath of a severely pissed off and hungover girl.
“Why does everyone think we’re together?” I glanced at a chuckling Ruby, picking a simple black dress out of my closet and pulling it on, flopping down next to her on the bed.
“Maybe it’s because you walk around naked in front of me?” she turned to face me, her arm automatically slinging over my waist, tangling her legs with my own. “Or because we cuddle all the time.”
“That doesn’t mean anything,” I huffed, leaning up to peck her cheek. “C’mon. I can smell mum’s cooking up here and it’s making me hungry.”
“Maybe you should eat your girlfriend then,” my brother reappeared, making me scream in frustration.
“FUCK OFF!”
27 years of age
“Oh come on mum,” I chuckled, wrapping her in a hug. “Stop crying! I’ll Skype you as much as I can and text you every day!”
“I just can’t believe my baby is leaving me,” she sobbed into my shoulder, gripping the back of my jacket tightly between her fists. “Can you just stay here for a little while longer?”
“Let her go mum,” my brother rolled his eyes, pulling my sobbing mum away from me, scooping me into his own hug. “Have fun kiddo. If anyone gives you a hard time, call me and I’ll fly across the world to come rescue ya!”
“Sure thing,” I rolled my eyes at his overprotective nature. “Let me go before you suffocate me.” He squeezed me one more time, letting me go and returning to our mums side, wrapping a comforting arm around her. I turned to Ruby and Katia, cooing at what I saw; a sobbing Katia wrapped around her daughter like an extra piece of clothing. “And I thought my mum was bad.”
“Save me,” Ruby pleaded, sighing in relief when her mum let her go, instead wrapping her arms around me.
“My two girls are going away,” Katia wailed, cupping my cheeks with her hands, giving me a stern look. “You keep Ruby in line, and don’t let her talk you into getting another tattoo. And you call me if she’s giving you trouble.”
“I think I can handle her,” I gave her a cheesy grin, letting her pull me in for one last hug, smiling when I saw my family trapping Ruby in a group hug. “Are you gonna be ok on your own?”
“I’ll have your mum,” Katia sighed into my neck, squeezing me once more before letting go, shuffling towards my mum and linking arms with her. “You two have fun.”
“We will,” Ruby grinned cheekily, winking at her mum. “Can we go now before we miss our flight?” Katia rolled her eyes at her daughters immaturity, giving us both one last hug before pushing us towards the terminal. I took Ruby’s waiting hand, lacing our fingers together and walking away from my family and towards my new life.
“I can’t believe we’re leaving,” I let out a loud sigh, glancing up at Ruby. “Are you sure you wanna do this?”
“Hell yeh I do,” she chuckled, fiddling with the strap of her backpack. “C’mon! This is gonna be so awesome! We’re finally gonna be alone and living it up in LA!” I rolled my eyes at her enthusiasm, squeezing her hand and following her through the airport, glancing around anxiously at all the people.
“Hey can we sit down for a second?” I tugged on her shirt, forcing her to look away from the pizza place she was eyeing. She looked down at me, pulling me towards the nearest bench and pushing me onto it, crouching in front of me.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling sick? Are you having a panic attack? Do you miss your family?” she ran her hands along the tops of my thighs, staring up at me with wide eyes. “We don’t have to do this if you don’t want too.”
“No! It’s nothing like that,” I chuckled, pulling her onto the bench next to me and wrapping my arms around her waist, resting my cheek against her shoulder. “I’m just nervous… We’re going to a completely different country alone, and starting a whole new life together…”
“It’s gonna be fine…” Ruby sighed, one arm going around my waist and the other resting on my thigh, stroking my sweat-pant covered thigh with her thumb. “Did I tell you how good your ass looks in these pants…?”
“Seriously?” I scoffed, slapping her chest softly and looking up at her smug face. “Why do you always say things like that?”
“Because it’s true,” she winked, sliding the hand that was wrapped around my waist down to rest on the top of my bum. “And my sexual humour distracts you from worrying about things.”
“Well excuse me for wanting to keep us both safe,” I rolled my eyes, not even bothering to move Ruby’s hand, knowing it’d end up back there a few minutes later. “And we wonder why people think we’re together…”
“We’d be relationship goals,” she grinned, pressing a kiss to my cheek and pulling me even closer to her, our bodies pressed against each other. “You wanna go share a pizza?”
“How romantic…”
“Did you actually get any sleep last night?” I raised a brow, running my fingers through Ruby’s bed hair, letting her rest her head on my thigh and curl up against my body.
“I got a solid 3 hours,” she yawned, looking up at me with tired eyes. “Do I have to do anything today?”
“I’m pretty sure you’re free for today,” I hummed, taking a sip of my steaming cup of tea, eyes never leaving the TV so as to not miss a moment of Game of Thrones. “Have a nap now and we can go out later and have lunch somewhere.”
“You really wanna go out in public with me?” she raised a brow, giving me a confused look. “After what happened last time?”
“That girl got hurt more than I did,” I shrugged, leaning forward to place my cup on the coffee table, shifting on the couch so I was lying against the back of the couch, Ruby now lying in front of me so we were spooning, me being the big spoon. “Go to sleep.”
“I don’t wanna,” she huffed, her eyes closing against her will. “You can’t make me.” I rolled my eyes, rubbing small circles on her bare stomach. “No… I have to tell you something…!”
“What is it?” I hummed, smiling slightly when Ruby reached for my hand, lacing our fingers together and resting our joined hands on her stomach. “What did you want to tell me babe?”
“You can’t tell Y/N,” she whispered, making me scoff softly. “Promise you won’t tell her!”
“Alright, I promise I won’t tell Y/N,” I rolled my eyes, squeezing her hand. “Now what’s the secret?”
“I’m in love with Y/N,” Ruby sighed, letting out a deep sigh.
“You’re what with Y/N?” my eyes widened, trying to avoid the temptation to freak out.
“I love her… Wanna marry her,” Ruby mumbled, tangling her legs with mine and shuffling further back on the couch so she was pressed right up against me. “Gonna go sleep now.”
“Ok,” I squeaked, my mind still trying to process what I had just heard. “You do that.”
It had been a few hours and Ruby had been dead asleep the entire time. I had attempted to move away after an hour but the grip she had on my hand tightened almost painfully and her legs hooked around mine, forcing me to stay behind her. I tried to fall asleep, but my mind was running through what I had just head. My bestfriend whom I’ve known since I was 5, just told me she loved me, but she didn’t realise she had told me. I originally thought it was a half-asleep confession and she was just saying random things, but I remembered that she was always honest when she was tired. It was all so confusing…
“Y/N,” a soft voice whispered, making me jump at the sudden noise. “I think you’re going to break my hand.”
“Oh! Sorry,” I blushed, loosing my grip on Ruby’s hand, pushing myself up so I was sitting behind her, contemplating whether I should tell her what she said or not. On one hand, it might cause a rift between us if she knew I was keeping something from her, as I wasn’t the best at acting natural when I had a secret. But then on the other hand, she would be really embarrassed and it would probably be super awkward for a while if I told her I knew.
“What’s on your mind?” she asked, rolling over so she was lying on her back, her hand reaching up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind my eye, frowning when I moved away. “Are you ok? What happened?”
“Nothing,” I shook my head, avoiding looking at her, knowing her crystal blue eyes and naturally pouty lips would convince me to tell her. “Just really tired I guess.”
“That’s a lie,” she scoffed, pushing herself up so she was leaning against the arm rest, pulling me onto her lap, despite my struggling. “Tell me what’s wrong.” I let out a deep breath I didn’t realise I was holding, glancing up at her curious face, her brow raised in question.
“You uh… You said something right before you fell asleep,” I bit my lip, feeling her tense up underneath me.
“What did I say…” she stared at me with a stony face, her hands clenching my shirt between her fists tightly. “Please don’t tell me I said what I think I said…”
‘It’s fine Ruby,” I cupped her cheeks with my hands, rubbing my thumbs across her cheekbones. “It just shocked me is all.”
“It isn’t fine unless you feel the same way,” she sighed, gently pushing me off her and getting up off the couch, storming off towards her room.
“Ruby! Where are you going!” I scrambled off the couch, running after her only to have her bedroom door slam shut in my face. “Ruby please! You can’t just shut me out!”
“Yes I can!” her muffled voice came through the door, a loud crash following it. “Just leave me alone Y/N!”
“You can’t blame me for not being sure of my feelings Ruby…” I leant my forehead against the door, wincing at the sound of glass breaking inside. “We’ve been friends for 24 years… Excuse me for being confused as to why you’d like your bestfriend.”
“Just go Y/N…” she sighed, my heart breaking at the obvious crack in her voice, a clear sign that she was already crying. “I need some time alone.”
Present day
It had been a week since Ruby had, at the time, unknowingly confessed her feelings, and it had been tense in the apartment. She had stayed in her room for the rest of the day, and had only occasionally left it to get food, but only when she knew I was out of the house. I had heard her speaking softly for hours on end, probably on the phone… It made me quite jealous to know she was telling someone her problems, because usually I was that person she told everything to…
“I just don’t know what to do Katia,” I sighed into the phone, running my fingers through my messy hair, rolling over on my bed. “She won’t talk to me…”
“I know my daughter pretty well,” Katia hummed, rustling something in the background. “She might say she wants space, but what she really needs is you to just be there for her physically… Even if she resists, just sitting next to her and not talking is all she really wants.”
“She’s locked her bedroom door though, and she only comes out when I’m at work,” I huffed, ears perking up when I heard a door creak open, knowing that was Ruby coming out to get food. “Hold on, I’ll call you back…” I heard a soft ‘ok’ before I hung up, throwing my phone to the end of my bed and tiptoeing out of my room, watching Ruby shuffled down the hallway, stopping suddenly.
“Stop being creepy,” Ruby huffed, turning around to glare at me, making me scoot back towards my bedroom slightly at the sight of her icy cold glare. “I don’t need your pity.”
“I just wanted to see if you were alright,” I pursed my lips, crossing my arms over my chest defensively. “You haven’t spoken to me in a week…”
“Sorry,” she shrugged, turning back around and making her way down the stairs, my hunched over form following behind her slowly. “I’ve been busy.”
“Being a hermit?” I raised a brow, leaning against the kitchen doorway, watching her move around the kitchen, getting out various ingredients.
“Moving on,” she glanced at me out of the corner of her eyes, giving me a small smile. “But now, I’ve got someone coming over, so I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t embarrass me.”
“That’s what best friends are for,” I attempted to lighten the mood, sauntering over to the bar stools, plopping down in one. “Who’s coming over?”
“Just a friend,” Ruby simply said, face lifting when the doorbell rang. “That’ll be her.” She rushed of towards the door, leaving me sat confused in the kitchen.
“Her…?” I muttered under my breath, not remembering any girl that was new in Ruby’s life. “Who the bloody hell….” I turned around when I heard a soft giggle from the doorway, my brow raising at the sight of the blonde girl standing in front of me.
“Y/N, this is Phoebe,” Ruby grinned, placing her hands on the shoulders of the girl standing in front of her, giving me a warning look. “Phoebe, this is my best friend and room mate, Y/N.”
“It’s so nice to finally put a face to a name,” Phoebe grinned, walking over towards me and embracing me in a warm, and slightly awkward hug. “Ruby has told me so much about you.”
“I can’t say I’ve heard her mention you before,” I raised a brow at my bashful looking bestfriend, awkwardly patting the girls back and pulling away from the hug. “How do you two know each other?”
“She’s cousins with the neighbour,” Ruby explained, walking towards the two of us and reaching out a hand for Phoebe to take. “C’mon, we can go in the living room and you two can get to know each other better…” I walked them walk away from me, hand in hand and giggling like a young couple in love… And I felt my heart slowly start to break for some reason… I finally realised… I was in love with my bestfriend… And she didn’t even know it.
