Guess who else was born on December 25th? One of the greatest mind in history, Sir Isaac Newton! Born on December 25, 1642 in Woolsthorp, Lincolnshire, England, Isaac Newton is sometimes said to have been the greatest intellect that ever lived. He attended Cambridge (1660-65) and there, and on his own, investigated optics, dynamics and mathematics in all of which areas his genius advanced the science of the day and developed theories and explanations that remain true today. He was humble about his work and described himself as like a boy playing on the seashore discovering pebbles and shells, while the great ocean of truth lay undiscovered before him. #ExploritScience #IsaacNewton (at Explorit Science Center)
